Angel In White Is Back!

Seeming how early RMIT semesters always end, I have been granted the license to party even before the rest with their finals commenced. Then again, it isn’t always a good thing because I had nobody to go party with as everyone else was busy mugging on the books. With so much time in hand, all I did was hibernate for days just to catch up on lost sleeps!
The night which I was supposed to go with an afro on but decided not to. It was also the very same night I partied after weeks of ‘time out’, and got wasted. Pretty terrifying experience the following day but wouldn’t get to that point. All in all, a pretty much interesting night! We also managed to grab a 40 dollar food voucher at Equinox but alas, didn’t get to use it.
In contrast to the previous week, Black Party was expectedly quiet because of the ongoing examinations. Moreover, Eve was having their VIP night so we pretty much had the whole dancefloor to ourselves. Following the alcohol massacre of myself last week, Ivan was the casualty of the night as Derek generously showered us with shots of ABCs and tequilas.
Cinvin, Penny and Ivan.
VII 1st Anniversary Party this coming Friday. Hmm.. Haven’t decided on what to wear just yet. Heheheheh will see you guys there anyhow! Armin Only and End of Exams Party posts coming up next!
You know one is in deep trouble when all the person thinks about is Team Fortress 2. A carefully planned night out at Ivan’s in conjunction with the Euro 2008 Finals turned out to be a spontaneous LAN gaming session which lasted till the wee hours of next morning. Hor hor! No more excuses in staying up late after Germany losing out to a triumphant Spain with a beautiful Torres goal.
Without a doubt, highlight of the night has got to be our dinner cooked by Penny; NASI LEMAK! Rich in flavour and scrumptious in taste, the chicken gracefully fried and sambal is just… so authentically local! I swear you’d never find any other nasi lemaks here in Melbourne EVEN CLOSE to what we had on that night itself. Looking at the picture makes me hungry again…
What a fun weekend, it has been! Considering the fact that everyone else is having holiday as well, I foresee yet another geeky LAN gaming session just around the corner. Till then, I’m just gonna shower Nat who just got back from a fruitful trip in Sydney with my endless ramblings about my otherwise ordeal as a bachelor over the past weeks. HAHAHAHA!
MEDICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC !
After months of contemplations, we finally braced ourselves for the unthinkable and adjourned to the ever notorious club every Tom, Dick and Harry have come to know of: Bubble. The name should ring a bell in the heads of those who are particularly active in the EDM scene here in Melbourne.
Giving Bubble the benefit of the doubt, we decided to check it out last Saturday despite the unpleasant comments being poured. As a first timer, I suppose it wasn’t that difficult to actually locate the club even though it is situated at Francis Street, one many hardly frequents to.
Knowing how the crowd usually walks in late, we weren’t expecting a queue as Penny told us to be there about 11.45am. Instead, we were greeted by a lengthly queue which was even longer than one back at VII couple of weeks ago. Thank goodness for express admission though.
There was the end of exam promotion going on so we were lucky enough to get in for free with our student ID! Take that, you stupid ISIC (International Student Identity Card)! The moment we got into the club through a rusty backdoor-like entrance, we were greeted by a group of sweaty bunch of people shuffling their way to the ‘forbidden land‘.
I wouldn’t say it reminded me much of the days back in Atmosphere, though it certainly does feel like a place you wouldn’t see me frequenting to. Not even once in a while. However, we might just make another trip to Bubble as a good friend of ours long to check it out but not until she’s done with her exams. Hahahaha!
The place itself seems pretty spacious, which definitely is a good thing for shufflers. The sound system is pretty amazing but nothing beats the lasers! Not forgetting to mention, lots of couches around the corners for ‘obvious’ reasons’. I guess I’m just one of those few who doesn’t deserve enough to appreciate such heart-thumping, mind-boggling hardstyle music. My heart is too weak!
Drinks there are relatively expensive, as I paid more for a cup of beer than other usual clubs. I even spilled one by accident and slowly watched my Heineken soak into the stained carpets. Heart-wrenching indeed! Hehehehe then again, it’s all about the company that matters most. And I saw Cherish as well! She loves it there ;D
Right.. I’m seriously lost for words. Hehehehe and don’t mind me posting at such ungodly hours. The ones who have caught the Euro 2008 fever probably knows the extent of this disease. We sleep when sun risea and wakes up when the sun sets.
Gosh… terrible, I tell you. It’s been quite an interesting one though, with many heavyweight teams already eliminated. Another awakening of an unlikely heroic nation?
I’m gonna be off now. Byes byes!

Today marks the end of yet another semester here in Melbourne. Everyone was clogging up the entrance of the building. They seemed relief and already making plans for the next day. I, on the other hand, was trying to catch my breath as I ran to uni. Why, I hear you ask?To put it in simpler term, I was LATE.
And because of that, I was penalized a fair bit of mark deduction for the selected module. I wouldn’t have felt as bad if it was the cause of my laziness, but more on the fact that I actually woke up LATE. I completed my work the night before and this is what I got. I’m just hoping I can afford to lose those marks and still get a credit. That of course, put my thinnest slice of getting a distinction into the bin! :(
What’s done is done, and there’s nothing I can do about it. The only outcome is a valuable lesson learned. Trying really hard not to let this ruin the rest of my week . Dinner plans now clash with my itinerary on Thursday as well. What a way to kick start the long anticipated holiday!
I disappoint myself, yet again. Such joyous occasion only to be overshadowed by my silly mistake.
On a much happier note, Armin Only simply was out of this world! I just wished he played beyond the extravagant 9-hour set. The crowd was the biggest letdown throughout the night. Coming from the party people of Melbourne, I wasn’t expecting such a slow, unresponsive and dull reception. Signs of fatigue was obvious as Armin struggled towards the end but the crowd played no part in carrying him through the final hour.
I contributed 120% and was bouncing all night long, cracking my head just to ID the songs. And now it’s finally taking its’ toll on me. Very body-taxing indeed. What more could I ever ask for?
Now that semester is done, expect a ARMIN ONLY post real soon! For now, here’s just one video for you, as always ;P
Toodles!
