Woke up at 6:15am in the morning, only to find that everyone else was still sleeping so I decided to stay on bed for a little while more till the alarm clock rings. At that point, I was wondering if this National Service is going to turn out well as many people having doubts about this programme which kinda freaked me out in the first place. Well, whatever it is, the next 3 months are going to be one hella roller coaster ride for me being a city boy who has never been to camping in my entire life.

Got up at 6:30am and I forced myself into the bathroom for shower cause there isn’t any hot water! Just imagine you gotta take cold shower at 6:30am in a chalet with open rooftop right beside the coast. OMFG, it was spine-chilling and I came out of the bathroom with my body all numbed. Nicholas showered right after me and you could hear him screaming inside the bathroom. Hahaha! Well, I sorta did the same thing actually so … *Growls*

Left the chalet and walk across the beach to meet up with Joel’s stepfather at his very own chalet. We got ready and drove to the nearby jetty. There is a row of shoplots over there and so we decided to drop by for breakfast while watching the sun rise at the same time. A packet of nasi lemak and a cup of Teh O Ais only cost me RM1.50. You can never get such cheap food back in KL.

After that, it was all about winding roads and cows as we embarked on our journey to the campsite. It took us about 2 hours to reach the Kelantan border and made a pit stop not long after cause Joel’s stepfather was tired. Came across wide plains of padi fields with cows feeding on lush green grasses. The scenery and landscape over here are very breathtaking. Ideal for professional photographers to capture splendiferous pictures.

Finally reached the campsite at about 12pm in the afternoon. We had to register ourselves before we get to place our belongings so off we went to the Pusat Kokurikulum JPN and stupid computer broke down due to wiring problems. The officials in charge couldn’t access the database so we went to the Bachok town nearby and had this crappy Malay Fried Rice for lunch. It took the aunty about 30 minutes to cook one plate of rice, so that means we spent about an hour just to wait for lunch to be served.

Nicholas wanted to get a new Maxis Sim Pack since DiGi is being such a whore with no network coverage over here, so I accompanied him and searched for one throughout the whole area but nope, none of them are selling any of the Maxis Sim Pack. In fact, Celcom dominates the whole Kelantan as they have the best coverage over here. Left the place empty handed and headed for Jelawat.

Things were getting a little heaty so we dopped by at this store to get some refreshments. And so happens, RTM2 was airing the news regarding the transportation for NS candidates this morning. So it seems that buses did not turn up until 10:30am so parents were extremely furious about it. Even the officials weren’t present when we were actually asked to be there by 8:00am. Back in Stadium Shah Alam, things were out of handle so they were all diverted to Bukit Stadium Jalil for transportation.

I was watching the news in disbelief. OMFG, thank goodness I followed Joel here or else, it would have been a pain in the ass just to get myself a seat in those crampy buses. We got back to the campa t 2:30pm and finally got ourselves a place to sleep. Registered and we were then brought to our respective camps. And because of the problematic transportations, only 14 of us were there in the whole campsite. Had an ice-breaking session.

Dinner was great as we had curry beef and kangkung. And now, time to go to bed. Ciao.

Woke up at 8:00am in the morning. One last hot shower and left my place around 9:00am. Sister was a little moody cause she was forced to drive me down to FGA Church at Jalan Kuchai Lama to meet up with Joel. I will be riding with him all the way to Kelantan by car. Mom decided to tag along so I guess she’s going to miss those lecturings for me.

Reached the church around 9:30am, just in time. Met up with Joel and his family. Also, the very first time I met Nicholas, one of Joel’s childhood friends. We were both seated at the back of the car and it was pretty quiet during the journey cause we were like strangers to each other.. Didn’t get to talk much for the first day.

Checked the luggage and backpack for one last time before embarking on a long journey up to Northern part of Malaysia. Parents bid farewell and off we went, to Kuala Terengganu. It’s been a while since I last traveled in long journey rides. Took us about 7 hours to get to Marang. Joel’s stepfather owns a chalet here at the Angullia Beach Resort so we stayed here for a night.

Well of course, we made a few pit stops on the way here. The journey was very stressful and those long winding roads are tough to handle. We had to intercept cars which were driving at a very slow pace cause we were on a single lane road. Fell asleep in the car for a couple of times but not long cause of the bumpy road surface. Erk.

We came across quite a number of breathtaking landscapes. Ideal for photography enthusiats to snap some wonderful pictures. I was absolutely clueless on my whereabouts though. Kampungs and coconut trees are everywhere. Very peaceful and untouched. Kids can be seen playing kits and cows roaming around. No pollutions cause there were hardly hardly any motor vehicles.

Anyway, we finally corssed the Kuala Terengganu border and went a little bit more further inside before reaching Marang at about 4:30pm. Angullia Beach Resort is a perfect place to chill out and find peacefulness. The wasn’t quite tempting though cause of the tide waves and filthy. Had dinner at the small town, which is like 20 minutes drive from the beach resorts. Apprently I was told that only 5% of the chinese population in Kuala Terengganu lives there.

However, it was breezing cold at night and the gazing stars were mesmerizing. I’ve never seen so many stars above the sky. It was so captivating. Felt more like we were on a vacation. Sat outside and chit-chatted before going back to the chalet since it was getting late already. The place was all dark and spooky. slept at about 11:30pm.

First of all, Manchester United cruised to a 4-2 win against Manchester City in FA Cup and they are through to the quarter finals. Woohoo! Stupid goal by Robbie Fowler reminds me of the one Henry scored against Aston Villa. Eish. Well, that will be the last football match I was going to spectate. Will be back here right before the English Premier League season ends.

Wowee. Decided to have one good meal before I goes off so mom prepared steamboat for me last night. Well it was great. Vincent, Eugene, William and Joel were here in my place as well. Everyone’s favourite last night was the home made chilli sauce blended by my mom. Everyone drank like two cans of carbonated drinks just to cool themselves down. Started around 7:30pm and lasted for 2 hours. Not bad. =)

Well it was 4:00pm in the late afternoon when Joel reached my place. It was still early so I drove him to USJ since he wanted to hand a birthday gift from Tashna to Ben. Then we stumbled upon this kid who seemed to have fell off his bicycle and landed with his head. There were bleed so we stopped by the side of the road and approached him.

Doesn’t look too good to us but he insisted on cycling back to his place in Court 3 all alone. He doesn’t want to call any of his family members to come pick him up so we just asked him to be more cautious and careful while crossing the roads. And for the first 2 minutes, we felt so “un-malaysian”. But come to think about, I think we are cause we stopped and kepoh kepoh. Hehehe! But it was sad cause he was standing in the middle of the road helplessly.

Oh well, since there’s nothing much we could do, so we left for Club 7 at about 5:00pm. Played pool and foosball just to kill time. Didn’t want to go home so early cause my grandfather was at my place as well for dinner along with my family. So we decided to let them go ahead first and we’ll do the finishings. =P

As you can see, Joel and Vincent were both damn full after eating and munching for 2 hours non-stop. We were all bloated so we chilled out a little while. Then off we went to Skynet for an hour of gaming. Melissa came minutes later and accompanied us. What a surprise! We met up with PennyPuPz and then we went yum char at Darusallam. Very happening.

Hmmmm, what else? Went home and ate again! Hahahah, just vegetables and a little bit of meat. Really full so I couldn’t sleep, but I was so freaking sleepy so you imagine how torturing it was. Slept around 2:30am and woke up at 10:00am this morning. Ate Pork Mee for breakfast together with Vincent, Eugene and Joel. Freaking nice. I’m going to miss the MSG soup.

Argh! Finally packed everything up and I am ready to go! Will be getting a ride on Joel’s car tomorrow morning. We’re leaving early and will be dropping by at Terengganu for a night, I guess. Plan to go there early so we don’t have to rush for the right sizes for uniforms and boots.

Well, can’t type much right now. Will be blogging for one last time tomorrow morning. And now, time for MTV Asia Awards 2004! Woohoo!

Oh my f**king goodness. What a blow for Manchester United’s chase for the Premiership title after suffering a 3-2 home defeat by Middlesbrough. Really disappointed. Read what the fans got to say about the match. Well, we are certainly furious about the poor defence and conceded 8 goals in just 3 matches! *Gggrr* Evan must be jumping around in joy right now as Arsenal leads the table by 5 points ahead of Manchester United.

Damn damn. I really had this bad feeling that Manchester United was going to lose in the next couple of matches. I woke up 7:30am in the morning to check on the score lines via GPRS and couldn’t sleep well after having to know that Manchester United lost in home ground. Erk. Well, guess I’ve been reading too much of football news from ESPN Soccernet. Holidays are boring!

Geez. Telekom technician finally came over earlier this afternoon to check on my poor line condition. The cause of the slow connection speed? The main telephone socket has totally worn out and needs a replacement. Been there, done that and bought a microfilter from him as well. 10 minutes later, I was surfing the internet speedily. Woohoo!

Next? I’ve also received the second letter from the Ministry of Defence regarding National Service. Just a booklet and a form which I will have to fill in and hand it up upon arrival at the campsite. Well, I’m all excited and ready to go for it! Well, not actually… I’ve not even pack my bag yet! Geez…

Will have to do some last minute shopping tomorrow and get everything done by Saturday. Might be getting a lift from Joel since his dad is driving him down towards the northern east, but I’ll be leaving on the Sunday instead cause Joel says that he’ll be dropping by at Terengganu’s coast and chill out a little bit.

Hmmm, well Joel said he was going to call me up 7 hours ago to confirm with me about the transportation. Oh well, if it doesn’t work out then I’ll just ride on the bus transport next Monday. Will have to get up early in the morning and be at Stadium Shah Alam by 8:00am in the morning. Woot~

Watched American Idol half an hour ago. Not bad.. Well at least people who lives in San Francisco are way much better than those found in Houston. And yes! Finally got to watch William Hung in action! Guess he doesn’t even have to make it through to the next round to become a superstar! He’s already famous just by banging in front of the judges!

Argh! Stupid Maxis Hotlink Ad is now stuck in my head! The polyphonic ring tone, the catchy music and most importantly, the charming girl with that big kitty mascot outfit on! Awwww… isn’t she lovely and sweet in the very first scene at the LRT station? *Slaps ownself twice in the face* Geez, I really can’t get her out of my head! Her smile melts my heart instantly whenever I see the advertisement on TV. *Growls*

Anyone knows where to find the Ad in the internet?

Love is in the air. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. I’ll probably stay at home and become a loner during the night. It has always been the same throughout these years. Valentine’s Day is just like any other ordinary days to me. Sad huh? As for the rest, hope you guys have a great time and bear in mind that SAFETY COMES FIRST!

Was too lazy to blog yesterday. Erk, not like I have anything to blog about except for the fact that my StreamyX internet connection has been recovered! Wowee! Surfing the internet has never been such a breeze, well at least not for such a long time! Called up the Customer Service Line and ranted for 20 minutes before the lady diverted me to Telekom Technical Support line instead. Hmm, never knew 100 existed. Try dialing it :P

So I called them up and lodged a report about the poor line condition. Everything’s working fine right now. I’m pleased with the outcome and less white hair already! Oohoho, finally the technicians decided to move their ass and do something about it. Cis cis!

Well since it was afternoon and MSN Messenger being such a bitch, only few was online so I checked out some movie trailers at Quicktime’s official website. Can’t wait for Spiderman2 which is due to release on the 2nd of July! Watched Punisher’s trailer as well but it doesn’t seem appealing though.. Eurotrip, another teen show but it looks kinda interesting. Beautiful female casts…. ^^

And if you are still wondering what Ninjai: The Little Ninja is all about, then you might wanna check out this little snippet. Oh wait, I mean here! :P I guess that pretty much explains how talented these guys are. Still not satisfied? Well here’s another one for your pleasure.

I’m bored. Just downloaded GunBound but the server seems to be lagging. It takes ages for me to chat in the public chatroom. Oh well, will try it out again later tonight. And now, gotta clean up my messy room! Argh!

Erk. I’m tired. Woke up at 2 in the afternoon and drove mom to Subang Parade for some grocery shopping. Got sounded by mom for waking up so late, but well.. this isn’t the first time. Anyway, I had brunch together with my mom. Mcdonalds gives me goosebumps and only dined at Manhattan Fish Market few days back. Mom dislikes cheese so Pizza Hut is a no-no and Chicken Rice Shop is totally out. So we both ended up in Nandos..

We also went to shop for clothings and ransacked the shelves in Guardian for everything that is a necessity. Basically I now got most of the items I need for National Service. Will be walking over to Carrefour tomorrow to enquire about contact lenses. Spectacles are becoming a burden to me, but some said that contact lenses are much likely the same. Hmmmm…

Will have to get a bigger travel bag and start packing. I’ve yet to receive any letters from the Ministry of Defence and I have absolutely no idea how am I going to get my lazy ass there. The Official Website got a new facelift and well, at least it looks much better and more contents. Looking forward to National Service programme. Can’t wait to get it done with as soon as possible! Wowee!

Wanted to leave Subang Parade after hours of walking up and down the shopping complex, but then were forced to stay indoor for another half an hour cause of the heavy downpour. Mom and I decided to drop by at the new Baskin Robbins and I had two scoops of “Box of Chocolates”. There are lots of love shaped chocolate chips blended together with the ice-cream. Really cute indeed!

Hmmmm. Done with the ice-cream and drove back home. Well, I guess that’s it. Head over to AtomFilms.Com if you’re looking for some entertainment. Brother told me about this cool animation named Ninjai: The Little Ninja. Really cool stuff and I bet that you’ll be amazed by what these Ninjai Gangs came up with. They truly have all my respects. Just a gentle reminder that those flash animations vary up to tens of Megabytes in filesize so broadband connection is recommended.

Wowee! Manchester United got a narrow win against Everton in Goodison Park, Liverpool last night after having Ruud to score the winning goal on the 89th minute. It was an absolute screamer especially when a team suddenly hits back at your favourite team from 3 goals down to a draw level in less than 20 minutes. Saha performed really well by scoring two and setting up one for Ruud. A big sigh of relief!

Hmm. Watched School of Rock at TGV Sunway Pyramid with Eugene and Vincent yesterday. William was caught in a bad traffic jam and came only half an hour later. What about the show? Well… it’s hilarious. That’s all I can say. Jack Black is a really great comedian and will make you laugh even with his wacky actions. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a disturbance throughout the show. This mentally illed person who sat behind us was laughing all the time without any reasons and it’s kinda irritating but we couldn’t do much.

And right before the show ended, he started screaming and turned on the emergency lights. Eish. Really scary indeed. Came out of the cinema at 4pm and walked to Kim Gary Restaurant to join the rest of the Unlinkers for tea. I never knew there was a farewell meet-up for both J and my host, Wkkay as they will be leaving to Australia for studies. Chatted with Archangel during the morning and only told me about it at the very last minute. Oh well.

Sat down, chatted a little while and took some group pictures before leaving them and William behind to send Sin Hue back home at Seksyen 7 Shah Alam. Vincent drove on that day so I was chilling out all the time at the back of the seat, fiddling around with the camera and snapping pictures. Hahaha. Cause I was so bored! Stupid rain spoiled our football plans during evening and so we had dinner at 6:30pm instead.

Went to Subang Parade for Manhattan Fish Market and stumbled upon Sonia Chiu and her family. Was kinda embarrassing since I was only wearing a short pants and white t-shirt. Argh!

Hmm, and that basically covers up everything that has happened yesterday. As for today, nothing much actually… Woke up at 12:30pm and had KFC for lunch together with William and Vincent at Carrefour. Went to Skynet but then the PCs available were all separated so we decided to check out Silversurfer instead. Spent RM3.00 for an hour.

And finally got to test drive William’s Perodua Kelisa! Wowee… Really sweet and cute. Controls are easy and I could actually fit in comfortably, although it leaves very much little space for the back seats. That’s why my family protests on getting me the new Perodua Kancil cause my legs are so long!

Tsk. Had dinner at PJ Oriental Restaurant. Now I’m full and my legs are aching. Erk, must have been the cause of overstretching during the football game few days back.

And I declare you blind to find my new affiliate unnoticed cause her affiliate button is just so outstanding! PennyPupZ’s got a very cute weblog so you guys out there might wanna drop by and say ‘hi’!

Okay, I gotta go now. I’m sleepy :\

Edit: WTF is wrong with MSN Messenger!? Why can’t I log in to my account!? *Punches the monitor*
