Happening March. False Alarm.

29

March

I’m not too sure why but I’ve been sleeping way too often lately. I wake up looking lethargic even though I had plenty hours of rest. My head feels so heavy yet my body floating like a feather, causing me to sway around like a toy. Am I pregnant? Is it the gloomy weather or my dysfunctional biological clock? Is it just me the one being so lazy for having the thought of term break which is just around the corner? Only 8 remaining days of dreadful torments till I finally get to sit back, unwind and regenarate/recharge for real.

Recharge@Zoukfest kick started March with a loud bang as 15,000 glorious ravers raided the Genting Highland. Definitely was a blast considering it was my first ever rave party. Then there was the GLOW event which I pretty got hyped up and serious about Melbourne Shuffling since then. Nothing gets any better than 3 whole hours of plain shuffling from scratch while sweating out buckets of saltwater like guinea pigs. The trip to Atmosphere on the following week was enjoyable one and my first accomplishment of driving down to Kuala Lumpur for nightlife entertainment!

The happenings eventually subsided during the second last week as I was already downright exhausted. Planned to go for Regenerate@Redzone as well but was dealt a severe blow after all the previous events which left me dangling with little moolahs. No choice but to stay at home and watch TV instead. I was told that the rave party didn’t turn out as great many expected it to be and the fact that it actually ended at 2:30am! Like WTF!?

History of Art wasn’t much of a boredom today. Classes went on as usual but there was a slight disruption in between when students from the degree course suddenly shouted “Earthquake!” This aroused panic and everyone started feeling the ground and doing all kinds of weird things. My lecturer went to check on others so we got 5 minutes break in between. Hahahahaha. Nothing unusual so class resumed till 4:30pm.

Erk. Am feeling damn stoned. I gotta get my assignment done by tonight or it’s bye-bye to me. Ciao…

Quake strikes off Indonesia coast
Monday, March 28, 2005 Posted: 12:15 PM EST (1715 GMT)

(CNN) — An earthquake measuring a preliminary magnitude of 8.2 struck off the coast of Indonesia Monday — on the same fault line that originated a December 26 earthquake that launched a deadly tsunami.

The director of the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said scientists there feared another tsunami might hit the area.

Charles McCreary said he could not be certain that the quake, which was 30 km deep and 203 kilometer (126 miles) from Sibolga on Sumatra Island, would cause a tsunami.

“There is a potential for some wave activity,” said Julie Martinez, a geophysicist at the U.S. Geological Survey’s National Earthquake Information Center, in Golden, Colo.

The quake occurred at 1109 ET (1609 GMT), and is considered a “great” earthquake, the largest of seven grades.

The grades are very minor, minor, light, moderate, strong, major and great.

Tsunamis are distinguished from normal coastal surf by their great length and speed. A single wave in a tsunami series might be 160 kilometers (100 miles) long and race across the ocean at 960 kph (600 mph).

When it approaches a coastline, the wave slows dramatically, but it also rises to great heights because the enormous volume of water piles up in shallow coastal bays.

On December 26, a 9.0-magnitude quake triggered a massive tsunami that devastated Asian and African coastlines in nearly a dozen nations, killing at least 175,000 people.

*** Repeat seventeen times.

Daym, I can’t believe I ended up watching The OC instead with times which I allocated for assignments.. Hahahaha well yeah, after months of sitting in my desktop collecting dust, I finally watched the first 9 episodes of The OC Season 1. Wouldn’t have done so if it wasn’t because of TM-Net Streamyx downtime last night. So for once, thank you for being such an unreliable ISP. I practically got hooked on the very first episode in which I then spend the rest of the night watching the remaining episodes.

Had a little bit of trouble waking up for breakfast with Eugene and Vincent after having slept only at 5:30am. Pork mee was okay, but a little tad pricey so I guess that speaks for itself about the declining customers lately. Came home and continue watching The OC and fell asleep right before dinner. Hahahahaha shiatz I’m screwed. Anna and Marissa and Summer are daym hot!

California, Here I Come… Hahahahahaha aights, and now back to The OC.

Shit, I forgot. I’m done watching all the nine episodes! Erk…. Assignments.

Should I ‘ Thank God, It’s Friday? ‘

March

Everyone is dead. The night is so dull with little activities going on. Here I am, staring at the monitor and talking to myself. Where did everyone go? Why is everyone away? What is going on? Why is it that I’m always the outcast? When is this madness gonna end? Who am I suppose to run to?

On a lighter note, I watch the finale of Outback Jack last night and he picked Natalie but not Marissa! Woohoo! Seeing them both together overwhelms me with utter happiness. Marissa has got such fake expressions and cruel intentions! She just wanted revenge after being voted out by the previous contestants. I used to like Marissa but she totally changed after making her return from a nice comfy ‘vacation’. Natalie, on the other hand, is so cute and adorable because she’s so down-to-earth and lovingly fun! Though she might blab a lot at certain times but that’s what enlightens everyone during the 2 weeks ordeal! Glad she won… and apparently I was told by my sister that Jack and Natalie are both actually getting married! Woohoo ! <3 <3 Natalie.. Happy cute lovely couples together!

Again. Where the hell is everyone? It’s Friday, for goodness sake! Grrr… I’m getting all grumpy and feeling moody now.

Ronald Mcdonalds’ Knocking On My Door….

March

Oh no! My brain just sent out a distress call for Mcdonalds’ supper to be held immediately. My ideas stopped flowing which means I can no longer proceed on my assignment until I get my consumption of good ol’ Chicken Mcnuggets surfing down my delicate throat with endless flow of Coke. Eh? They have new toys also! I think I shall grab the Happy Meal then. Wowee!

When Pre-Menstrual Syndrome Strikes..

March

I was typing one mofo long entry until a retard appeared in my sight. His presence just killed my desire to continue blogging so I closed the whole browser instead. Mother fucker. I desperately need to attend Anger management (and shuffling) classes. Ngiak Ngiak Ngiak.

Done with photography assignment which I have already handed in 40 hours ago. Yesterday, I had a dramatic morning when I was supposed to get my lazy ass to university by 10:00am. However, things didn’t go too well and I actually overslept. Mom shook me off from my Wonderland and quickly rushed to get myself cleaned up. As I was preparing to leave the house, I noticed something awful and to my horror, the rear right tyre of my mom’s Honda Jazz was mildly punctured! This left me no choice but to make a quick pit stop at the mechanical car shop in SS14.

Ended up driving out of Subang Jaya territory only at 9:40am and miraculously reached university right on time! We were supposed to choose one of the four submissions to be displayed and students would have to choose the best looking one. Winner gets two rows of expensive professional films, which I didn’t get to lay my hands on. The winning photograph was a picture of a cow with great composition and focus on subject matter. Forgot to take a picture of it though. Mine came in as first runner-up with 9 votes to 13. Am quite satisfied overall.

Basically, the rest of the day was quite a major stoning as we had to endure the sudden gush of heat waves which struck LUCT during late afternoon. Shared some sickening yet hilarious jokes and TRUE stories that many encountered at local mamaks. Had a great laugh till we actually lost our appetite for lunch. ERS (Effective Research Skills) class was total bore. Will have to come up with questionnaires and all. Gah!

I didn’t sleep much last night because of History of Art assignment which dues today. Am feeling glad that everything is now over so I can have peaceful nights once again (for this week). Can’t really believe that I could actually finish everything second fastest among the rest who started much earlier than I did. In fact, I only begun working on it the night before yesterday due to procrastinations. The finishing touch-ups weren’t so good though since I was in a rush to get everything compiled to be handed in.

GAH! I’m still feeling moody, and furious over some personal matters. Am on the verge of exploding into bits. I seriously want need to move out of this house. Too happening already.

Turning Historic… Magnificent Weekend!

March

Woohoo! Sixteen months and two weeks after receiving a driving license, faint-hearted Slinky finally drove to Kuala Lumpur for the very first time last Friday night and boy, was it truly exhilarating. Hard feelings after having to endure awful traffic congestions for almost an hour but the sight of TwelveSI right before our eyes drowned my sorrows almost immediately. It was a great sigh of relief knowing that I’ve accomplished one of the many things-to-do before I depart this cruel world. O:)

Parked at Shangri-la Hotel and slowly cross the busy street. Heart-thumping bass flowing out of Atmosphere could be heard as we anxiously waited for the ruthless drivers to stop at traffic light junction. Met up with Chaang Yaw who kinda got lost at Jalan Sultan Ismail since he called me eight times for directions.

Chaang Yaw: Harloh? Where are you ah? I don’t know where is Atmosphere! I’m in front of Beach Club!

Slinky: Ah! Okie turn to your right and head towards the traffic junction. You’ll see Espanda on the right and Atmosphere is just right beside.

Chaang Yaw: Oh! Okay okay.. See you man!

*5 minutes later* *phone rings*

Chaang Yaw: Harloh? Aiyah, I think I’m lost la! Where is Espanda?!

Slinky:
Where are you now?

Chaang Yaw: Budabar!

Slinky: Wrong way! Now face towards the main street and walk till the end! Nouvo should be on your left, and Espanda on the right! Atmosphere is right beside Espanda!

Chaang Yaw: Oh! Okay okay! See you man!

*10 minutes later* *phone rings*

Chaang Yaw: Eh!? I think I’m lost la! I’m in front of Nouvo now!

Slinky:*Passes phone to Joel on passenger seat*

*Repeat the conversation 3 times*
