Thursday marked the end of my semester 3, and not surprising at all that it did ended with much hassles as I had to wait 3 freaking hours just to retrieve the studen coursework form and get it filled within 5 minutes before meeting up with Vincent at the One World Club. The campus was pretty much close to dead with less than 50 people spotted at the cafeteria, and so we had the one and only foosball table for ourselves. Contrary to the fact that LUCT charges for every single shit, all games that we played are absolutely FREE! My my, what a surprise!

Last assignment of the semester.. Wowee!
It was lunch so we decided to just play a couple of rounds but then knowing me, we ended up playing gazillion roungs before departing LUCT. Shit always happens during the last minutes. Hehehehehe! Gently walked towards the car park as I watch the deep blue sky envelope me with endless freedom, which proved worthy after 4 dreadful months of tormenting.
Hehehehe and so the whole of Saturday afternoon was spent in Centro salon to get my hair dyed and cut. Sitting on a chair and looking at self in the mirror for 4 hours really put you into an emotional stress and challenges one’s patience to it’s utmost limit. Thank goodness for my PSP or else would have died of boredom before I even got my hair cut. Left at about 6:30pm and boy was it raining quite heavily BUT there wasn’t much of traffic congestion. How weird can that be?? No traffic jam and Kuala Lumpur are always disproportional!

I also bought 4 new albums and I must say that all of them are definitely good buys. Most of them mainly falls under the genre of progressive trance and bit of hard house, well except maybe for Deep Dish’s George Is On that offers a more diversified tunes of house music. Flashdance, Say Hello and Dreams (feat. Stevie Nicks) are top singles of the album and not forgetting the likes of Sad Songs, In Love With A Friend and Sergio’s Theme with such mellow and soothing beats to ease your day off. The second CD offers quite a number of remixes of Deep Dish’s top single Say Hello as well as the video clip!

Moving on to the second album is Creamfields compilation mixed by Ferry Corsten, one of the top 10 DJs as voted by the people in DJ Mag 2005, and also the one who will be making a trip down to Zouk, Kuala Lumpur on the 23rd December. The compilation comes in 2 CDs, which accumulates up to a whopping 30 tracks for RM100. It is worth the money? Okay-lah.. but mind you, the one I bought is pirated one *blushes* The first CD includes a good mix of Electronica sets while the second one with progressive trance.
The third one will be M.I.K.E’s live set of Antwerp 05′. This I cannot comment much for now since I haven’t really listen to it just yet. However, M.I.K.E’s style is more to hard house and progressive tech. Not too bad I’d say but some people might actually find it wee bit boring and prefer bloody-pumping hard trance instead. Stay tuned for updates!

As for Anjunabeats Volume Three, I didn’t even bother trying cause it has got to be one of the best albums ever, solely mixed by the renowned trio Above & Beyond. This third installment features a good variety of tracks, including their very own Air For Life, Smith & Pledger’s Northern Lights, Made of Sun by Kyau vs. Albert as well as Mike Koglin vs. Jono Grant’s Sequential. Unlike the other three albums, Anjunabeats Volume Three comes with only a disc but still packs a punch with all the favourite tunes of avid clubbers. I love this most!

OH, and last but not least, Gol & Gincu’s original soundtrack! Hahaha finally got it after days of searching. RM35 for a total of 16 tracks, with mixtures of both local and international artistes, is worth the buy as the compilation features some of the beautiful songs written by our very own talents. I’m like so addicted to Nur Fatima’s Tiada Ertinya and Frequency Cannon’s Girl.
Hehehehehehe okay, and so that concludes today’s CD reviews and will blog about the trip to Friendster cafe tomorrow instead, since I haven’t uploaded the pictures into the PC.
GODSKITCHEN next week! Woohoo, can’t wait for Guy Ornadel to send us on adrenaline rush!
