After having to deal with an unstable connection for two gruelling weeks, I finally got my faulty modem replaced and now surfing the net with blistering speed once again. Surely took the TM Net staff quite a while to ‘complete‘ my long overdue report and have it processed only by this afternoon. I was told that ALL of their technicians were busy with appointments so I had to collect the modem myself instead. But well, I WAS desperate so I drove all the way to Telekom’s Datacentre at SS13 just to claim the replacement.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank my neighbour, R*****d, for being such a kind soul (as all SS15 residents are) by allowing me to share his wireless connection (without prior consent). I seriously would repay his kind deeds if I ever get the chance to bump into him along the streets. A free lunch at SS15 Mcdonald’s drive-thru, perhaps?

I just got back from mini Bak Kut Teh session that was initially planned with a great company, but then only to end up feeling disappointed with the astrocious attendance (Eugene and I only, by the way). What happened to the rest, I hear you ask? Password-protected post will answer your question :) It’s of bullshit and fucktards, not ideal for the faint-hearted ones.

Manchester United scraped to a 2-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers and will see them through to the Finals after a disastrous penalty miss by Van Nistelrooy and hard fought battle. I wanted to watch the match but I ended up falling asleep. Arsenal crashed out of the competiton in the most sensational way as Jason Roberts scored the winner in dying seconds, which sends the Latics into a driving madness and setting them up against the Red Devils on the 27th February.

Then there was the mini gathering at Sueyi’s new crib yesterday afternoon. Not many turned up since it was meant to be that way, and I finally got to indulge in the feastful yee sang for the first time since early 2005. Had Bak Kut Teh (YES, I had that for dinner just moments ago too) for lunch with handful amount of sips of Anglia Shandy. Is it just me that I find Shandy’s taste slightly weird and not the usual anymore? Pretty awful, seriously.

A game of Monopoly after that was filled with laughters and aggression over the chase for properties and such. I was unfortunate to run into bankruptcy first, followed by Eugene. After that, Sueyi pretty much dominated the whole game with her enormous amount of cash flow and assets that literally owned both Vincent’s and Evan’s ass.

I meant to blog but my beloved neighbour hasn’t been online so I couldn’t do so either. I called TM Customer Service again this afternoon, only to find that my complaints and report have both fallen into deaf ears. I was so pissed, I vent my anger for 5 whole minutes, leaving the person on the other side of the phone speechless. I could have easily melted the phone but then again, I already am sad enough to be without the Internet, and I wouldn’t want to celebrate Chinese New Year without a phone itself.

I spent my whole of yesterday loitering at 1 Utama, in search of one last of pair of pants and an additional t-shirt but ended up in dismay. Eugene, on the other hand, was fully occupied with tons of shopping bags and happily swinging them while I lament the poor outcome. We spent the entire day, literally, walking from one end to another, and salvaging whichever shops on sale, yet I couldn’t find anything appealing.

Evan, along with his sister, left 1 Utama with me and Eugene spending the rest of the night playing chess at Starbucks Coffee. Vincent had to go workout at Celebrity Fitness so we dropped by at Fcuk and Zara before heading off to Dragon-I for dinner. Even then, shops were beginning to close already. Hehehehe! Bumped into Eveline, Chin and Lynndy as well. Some last minute CNY shopping, perhaps?
So what have I been doing over the past days without an Internet connection, you ask? I stayed at home and watched 30 episodes of Bleach, attending William’s mini farewell party and shopping at One Utama (I was there on last Saturday too).

I have many many pictures but unfortunately, I won’t be able to upload any of them since it’s in my own comp. Manchester United claimed full points at Old Trafford after hard tussle with Liverpool so I’m happy :) And since we didn’t get much privilege to brag lately.. HERE’S ONE FOR YA, KOP SUCKERS! We don’t even need Rooney or Nistelrooy to score against your team! Bring on Sylvestre and Ferdinand!

I was walking back from Asiacafe after lunch when a ladybug flew straight into my face. I stood still and started shaking my head vigorously but the perky little bug refused take off. So, I picked it up and put the ladybug aside and continued my journey back home under the hot scorching sun.

Moral of the story: Be aware as a road pedestrian. If people can’t avoid you, then you should be the one to avoid them.

On an unrelated note, my backyard used to have a horde of ladybugs. They would breed on the vine plants that entangled my rusty barb-wired fence and turning it into a sanctuary of their own. Seriously, the ladybugs would come envelope you in swarms if you ever stand nearby. I also remember catching some and then putting them into a container with plants and never figured out why the ladybugs always died the next day. It is then that I realized all living organisms need oxygen to survive.

Education not wasted, after all. :)

Speaking of which, I need to get my lazy ass to Cyberjaya next week to pay the tuition fee for this coming fourth semester. Always better to do so before enrolment session so that I can avoid the long queues that are mainly the cause of Limkokwing University’s mediocre management and service. Gonna apply for university transfer as well. Hopefully I get to leave by early 2007 and spend a year and half abroad.

Unlike the past 19 years, I have got a BIG plan for this upcoming Valentine’s Day! Since enrolment session is on the 15th, so I have decided on staying at home and putting off the lights at 9pm! Sweet melancholy tunes will be playing through my PC and my beloved bolster to keep me companied. Damn berlakukan wei!

I haven’t been sleeping much lately, with probably about 6 hours only a day and then waking up by 12 noon. Funny how I can no longer sleep beyond that hour already. It only makes me feel even more lethargic if I were to sleep much more.

Manchester United cruised to the FA Cup 4th round tie with a 5-0 victory against Burton Albion. However, even with the flattering scoresheet and spectacular performances by the younglings, it is the visiting team who gained most during last night’s historical match. A record of 11,0000 fans turned up with their undying love and support for Burton Albion and the cheering never stopped since the first whistle. Not a bad match at all, with both teams putting up a good fight for a trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

I seriously gotta hit the gym since it’s getting later already. Bye for now!

I was at Sunway Pyramid earlier this evening, and boy was it blinding to even walk from one end to another. Chinese New Year is drawing near and so it is not uncommon to see bright contrasting red decorations in almost every angle of sight. Not only did my eyes got hurt from having to stare at those red carpets and lanterns, shirts and skirts, but also become deafening to the blasting remixes of Gong Xi Ni tunes.

With year 2005 having flew by just weeks ago, I am still trying to digest the fact that Chinese New Year is just a fortnight away, with the festive mood still being far from setting in. Feels like way too soon to even celebrate for a good cause. If only time can be put on a state of stagnant.

As much as I hate to admit the fact that Chinese New Year is becoming detestable, it is also the one and only time of the year which I get some extra moolahs from relatives and parents, and not forgetting the excuse to indugle self in hours of SHOPPING SPREE! I can just walk around the mall for hours and not buying anything. And when I do, I’d buy everything I want within 20 minutes.

So far, I already have 5 new additions in my closet; 2 tees and 1 shirt from Topman and the other 2 shirts from G2000. Hoping to add the new Manchester United home jersey kit into my new collection by end of this month. Unfortunately, my biggest problem now is not the closet that is overloading, but the lack of pants! I’m currently eyeing on the pair of Levi’s M505 regular and probably a couple more pairs before calling it a year.. well.

Connection is still down so no pictures for now. Apparently, my telephone line is okay after being diagnosed by a Telekom worker who dropped by on Tuesday morning, thus waking me up abruptly from beauty sleep. It is my aDSL modem who got struck after all so a replacement is needed. If the technicians do come to my place tomorrow, then I’d be able to go shop for my last few items at 1U on Friday afternoon.

Manchester United will be hosting Burton Albion for the replay of FA Cup’s 3rd round tie. HOPEFULLY the Red Devils will go through after what seems to be a disastrous weekend with the 3-1 lost during the Manchester derby. Liverpool will also be paying a visit this coming Sunday and for ONCE, I have no confidence in Manchester United winning, especially with the Kop’s excellent run of victories lately. A draw will do good, even though that means the end of the chase for Premier League title. Chelsea is playing in a league of their own.
