My Dream

28 February 2006

I met her in my recurring dream,
She appeared just beautiful as ever,
The smile on her face brings happiness to the brim,
It’s better seeing her late than never.

Strolling in the park as we held hands,
Locking my fingers between her delicate ones,
Being together with her leaves me in no man’s land,
Only to feel hurt knowing that I’m not the person she wants.

I sat on the bench as I helplessly watch her leave,
Taking my fondest hopes away together in dismay,
Remembering the day only makes me grief,
To ever see you again in near future, everyday I pray.

Bonnie Raitt- I Can’t Make You Love Me

26 February 2006

Turn down the lights;
Turn down the bed.
Turn down these voices
Inside my head.

Lay down with me;
Tell me no lies.
Just hold me close;
Don’t patronize.

Don’t patronize me.

‘Cuz I can’t make you love me
If you don’t.
You can’t make your heart feel
Something it won’t.
Here in the dark
In these final hours,
I will lay down my heart
And I’ll feel the power;
But you won’t.
No, you won’t.
‘Cuz I can’t make you love me
If you don’t.

I’ll close my eyes,
Then I won’t see
The love you don’t feel
When you’re holding me.

Morning will come,
And I’ll do what’s right;
Just give me till then
To give up this fight.

And I will give up this fight.

‘Cuz I can’t make you love me
If you don’t.
You can’t make your heart feel
Something it won’t.
Here in the dark
In these final hours,
I will lay down my heart
And I’ll feel the power;
But you won’t.
No, you won’t.
‘Cuz I can’t make you love me
If you don’t.

25 February 2006

It is never considered a yum cha session, not without the company of friends who is capable of coming up with excessive nonsensical ramblings and combination of sinful indomee goreng for supper and a cup of iced Milo to wash the crap down the throat.

Sooooo… I went yum cha with Eugene, the only person who is currently enjoying his very last days of semester break, and he actually did something which has crossed the border and entirely out of expectation. The situation was so traumatizing, it left me dumbstruck for mere 50 seconds.

You see, I was wearing the shirt that I bought from Topman and it says “SHOW ME YOUR TITS AND I’LL SHOW YOU MINE!”.. And well, I guess you’d have probably figured out what happened next.. He slowly read out the phrase and then goes “Okay settle! I show you my tits right now!” Ladies and gentlemen, here I present to you the priceless moment and picture that needs not speak a word to leave you in bewilderness..

HAH! Of all places and time, he just had to do it at our favourite local mamak during the MOST happening hour. I could easily felt the countless glances targeted at our table as Eugene continued saying,”wei… I showed you mine liao.. NOW YOUR TURN!”

Obviously, I didn’t do so.. Eugene was kinda weird as he acted so much gayer than he is. No personal attacks were taken place during that night.

I have officially fallen sick and currently in need of rest and pamper. NS gathering at Midvalley this afternoon was fun, with healthy attendance especially with those who I haven’t seen for 2 whole years. Time surely flies, eh?

And the fact that it rains on every afternoon seriously dampens my mood to even do anything. Walking to the gym is so troublesome because it’s too near to drive to and I wouldn’t be able to do so especially when it starts raining. And by the way, I have also set a new benchmark by going to the gym FIVE TIMES this week (Saturday-Friday)! Oooh, I can feel my chest ‘popping’ out already. I love gym!

Rest rest rest rest….

Life..

.. Is just so full of shit. It really can be at times when you felt like a whole pile of trashing shit just caved in on you. Like all of a sudden. Catching you by surprise and leaving minimal time to react. Shit can really kill, be it coming out of or getting stuck in you.

Time of the Year

22 February 2006

The heavy downpour and thunderous storm. Oh yes indeed. Semester four has finally commenced and with only the first class attended just yesterday, already I am given assignments to be dealt with. I wouldn’t say that my timetable is bad, except the fact that I have a two hour pathetic class on Friday afternoon. Monday remains a holiday and Wednesday class will start at 10:30am instead. How lovely!

Isn’t it obvious knowing that March is just around the corner, especially when:

1. You stumble upon a traffic ticket in your mailbox 11 FREAKING months after it was being issued. To make things worse, I have exactly another couple of weeks to settle the summon before traffic police comes knocking on my door. Hahahaha hey, I’d be famous then since only 3 arrests have been made so far. This is also the fourth traffic ticket that I have received in the span of one and half years. There goes my ang pow money..

2. There is a noticeable increase in population of class. New classmates to make friends with. Then walking in are old classmates with brand new funky hairdos and complete makeover from head to toe. Some just walked in, looking the same as though nothing had happened over the past three months (e.g. ME). More rantings on assignments and overpriced foods sold at cafeteria.

3. GirlGirl lazes around just like anybody else, thinking that holiday is still far from over. Well, though she can’t be blamed since the weather has been terrifyingly nice to sleep in lately.

4. The introduction of rave parties! This year seems to bring much hope and promises to spice things up in the local raving scene as world-renowned DJ Tiesto will be kicking things off at the Renault F1 Pit Party which will be held at KLIA, Limousine Shuttle Bay on the 18th March 2006!

This will also be the first time Tiesto making his rave debut here in Malaysia ala 2004 Athens Olympic Opening Ceremony. It’s gonna be massive, plus the fact that it’s gonna be part of Tiesto’s “In Search Of Sunrise” collaboration so hopefully he’s gonna pick this act as the fifth installation. THEN, I’d be telling myself “Hey… I was there, aights?” Hahahahaha bangga!

Right, and so you thought that’s about it. You know it’s always best to go with starters before moving on to the main dish. And here, Marlboro present to you the Redzone F1 Party which features a number of recognisable DJs from worldwide, including the ever famous ATB and Mario Piu (who unfortunately will only be making an appearance in Penang). I still remember listening to ATB’s 9 P.M (Till I Come) back in Form 1 (1999) and boy was it infectious. Basically that’s how I gotten myself into electronica music.

Right, and Tall Paul will also be spinning on the night itself. His Progressive House fancies me when I attended his gig at Zouk last August, but I guess it wouldn’t matter much this time around since majority prefers Hardstyle instead in local shore. Redzone F1 Party will be held on the 17th March 2006, just a day before Renault F1 Pit Party so that means it’s two days of partying in a row! For more information, please visit Redzone.com.my.

I really should blog more often but then again, it’s like the time of the year when I have no desire to do so and thus having need to set out in search of new inspirations.

I guess I’d better be off now and er, just laze around till the 3:30am match kicks off. Barcelona is going to whoop Chelsea’s ass tonight! Well done to Benfica as well! If you can knock Manchester United out of the league, I don’t see any reason why you can’t do so to Liverpool!

Goodbye, my friends…….

Good Things Always Come To An End

19 February 2006

Alright, so Manchester United bowed out of yet another competition after a 19th minute match winning header from Peter Crouch. Red Devils clearly lacked the enthusiasm to fight and they struggled throughout the whole 90 minutes. Anfield was in sheer delight and rapture as the Kops finally beaten Manchester United after a long 85 years wait to end the drought. To worsen the situation, Alan Smith made a late appearance and then only to be stretchered off after succumbing to a horrible self inflicted knee injury AND broken leg.

!~DOUBLE-U-TEE-EFF~!

With only the Carling Cup as consolation and Premier League still trailing behind Chelsea by 12 points, Red Devils fans hope of cup double is looking bleak.

Right, and so my brand new Dreamland pillow debut didn’t turn out as good it would have been. I woke up with a sore neck the following day cause it was TOO new to be slept on, so I’m turning it into a mini bolster for now.

Grandpa is fine and I’m going out with him for dinner later on. No, actually I’m heading off now. Thanks for those who asked anyway.

Bye bye!

*p.s: Dreamland pillows are pretty expensive, yah?? RM33.50 wei!

Is Everything Alright?

16 February 2006

It was 9.00am and I barely slept due to the irreversible biological clock within. My bed and I felt inseperable, at least until mom barged into my room all of a sudden and said that grandpa suffered from a minor stroke. He couldn’t get off the bed so my mom had to call the ambulance and send him to Subang Jaya Medical Centre. Today’s the enrolment session for returning students of LUCT, so I really had a tough time making the right decision. Mom said it was nothing serious so I could go ahead and then only drop by at the hospital after that.

It is a big sigh of relief knowing that grandpa is okay. In fact, he has been conscious throughout the whole ordeal. I reached SJMC at about 2:00pm when everyone was still at the emergency ward. Not a very pleasant place to be at all times, with patients screaming in great pain while concerned relatives grieve to see their loved ones suffering. That place just makes you feel somber.

Reunited with mom and sister who were both sitting outside the consultation room. Hoped for the best, and prepared for the worst as I entered the room, only to be greeted by a jovial 83 year old grandpa who was busy flexing his legs as though nothing had happened. I couldn’t tell what I was feeling at that moment. Neurologist Dr.Ng came in and threw a few questions at grandpda. I personally liked this most:

Dr. Ng: Afternoon, uncle. How you feeling now? Your legs still no feeling?
Mr. Yap: I’m okay now. pang sai already can move my legs once again.

Grandpa then bared his remaining five teeth with a big grin for doctor and continued telling us funny stuff.

Well, at least everything looked fine until he had the sudden urge to get off the bed, thus pulling out the needle off his hand and blood being spilled all over the place. Like come on, give me a break! I was only away for mere three minutes to get something at the shop, and this happened! Heck, I was even speed walking! Nurses came to help and janitor had to wipe those bloodstains off the wall and floor.

One moment, he was making jokes out of his own situation and nextly, poor grandpa was yelping in pain as nurses had to replace the old needle that he pulled out with a brand new one. Well, at least that teaches him a lesson and never to do the crazy stunt ever again. Grandpa reminded me a lot of my late grandma who passed away in 1999. She did the same thing as well. Sorta like a deja vu to me.

I spent almost half the entire day at the hospital to accompany grandpa. He will be staying for a night at SJMC so that doctor can monitor his status and see how things go the next morning. Speaking of the convinience store, I walked in and found that the interior was pretty confined. I guess I hadn’t noticed it back then cause I was quite a midget till form 3 when hormones started raging and I shot up to 5″8. Now I’m 5″10 :D

February 2006 intake for Graphic Design looks promising to me :D *ahem ahem* Poor freshmen have got another week of orientation to endure before their classes begin. I, on the other hand, do not have any classes on Monday so that makes my weekend a day longer for the next 3 months! There will be slight changes though but we are assured that Monday will be a holiday! Met up with Vincent, Mark, Chin, Andara, Kim, Aizah, Poppy, Bintang, Scott, George, Lynndy, Daryl and lain-lain lagi.

Very tiring day indeed. Bye bye and good night.

People Always Leave.. MEME!

12 February 2006

One game of foosball = RM2.00
One plate of nasi lemak with sweet and sour chicken = RM3.80
Two bottles of Heinekeen beer = RM15.60
Late night supper and bitchings with/of William Wo = Priceless

For everything else, there’s… well, Mastercard.

My flaming foosball partner, William Wo!

So it took me much longer than expected to actually digest the fact that William is no longer here with us. Hahahaha okay, I didn’t mean to make it sound that awful, but the thought of him not being here just sends tingling feelings all over. Frightening just to even think about how time flies in such immense speed.

One happy family (of friends) !

Only Wei Mun, Eugene, Vincent and I took the initiative to see William off at the airport on Thursday night. The rest of his friends needn’t do so cause they were leaving on the same jet plane itself. The terminal was awfully quiet, with our loud voices echoing over the hollow space. It then struck me in my head, thinking if anybody would actually do the same when it is finally time for me to go abroad.

Seeming how most of the people are already on the other side of the world, I guess I’d probably leave Kuala Lumpur with much courage and determination, and then only be greeted by the other half of Malaysia when I step foot on Down Under.

Speaking of which, I dropped by at LUCT on Thursday afternoon itself and inquired about transferring over to Swinburne or preferably RMIT. It has come to learn that I will only be able to leave next July cause I have to complete my Diploma locally before spending another year and half abroad. Not that I’m disappointed, but it would have been much better if I could actually leave early 2007 instead.

Anyway, back to the departure of William Wo. He promised us free dinner for one last the very first time before he leaves and so we had first class Mcdonalds’ at KLIA itself. And since it was free, I decided to order 20 piece nuggets and large coke and french frieds! Hahahaha, it was intentional but I meant to pay him back! Hahahaha, unfortunately I forgot about it and so there we were bidding farewell and watching him walked past the gate helplessly.

Eugene feeling emo after seeing William off.

Vincent looked more like he was constipated.

AH! Wei Mun looking happy instead! TOO MUCH!

Wasn’t much of an emotional farewell though. Plus, the fact that William was leaving for Australia with his entire immediate family so it made the whole tearing scenario tak jadi. We left at about 9:30pm and back to Subang for some coffee at Starbucks.

By the way, today is the last day of Chinese New Year so I would like to take this opportunity to wish all Fractionize.net readers a very happy Chap Goh Mei and remember not to count your ang pow moneys too anxiously. Even a ringgit or two makes a whole lots of difference! Hehehehehe, well I counted mine since the very first day of Chinese New Year so it’s all good ;P

And since I’m in such cheerful mood, here’s a meme to end the post with.
Bye for now!

1. Thank the person who tagged you.
2. List five random/strange/weird things about you,
3. Tag five other people.

Er… Thanks, Jocelyn!

(a) I love the feeling of sharp pointy edges grazing my palms, thus turning them into rough elephant skins that no girls want to hold on to.

(b) I prefer sunsets to sunrise, only because I can never wake up in time to catch the breaking dawn. Oh, love it even more when I’m all alone :)

(c) My room is messy as ever, but I tend to be very bothered when my work looks the same. I love calling myself a perfectionisit, even when I clearly am not :P

(d) I drink more than 5 litres of water everyday, and I think I pass out about 4 litres by the end of the night. Hahahaha, what a waste of water!

(e) I LOVE SINGAPORE! I REALLY DO! Erm.. That’s not weird or strange, right?

I guess I’ll spare the rest of you people from having to do this meme, so I’m not going to name another five helpless souls. Do if you have much free time in your hands!

Now that you know five weird things about me..
Would you still consider me as a friend of yours?

RAR!!!!
