Clubbing and Events + Ramblings
Ultra long post with mega collection of hot pictures. Proceed at own risk!
11:30 in the morning and I’m still feeling brain-dead, thus letting mindless nonsensical ramblings slipping out of my mind without prior notice and letting the fingers run amok, typing all these out. So yesterday marks the end of my very much needed break, albeit a little tad too short for what seemed to have been the most happening holiday ever. It all ended well with sleepless nights during the weekend.
Speaking of which, the HORROR! The past week has flown by so quickly that I didn’t manage to lay a single finger on my assignments. My bag is full of dust and spiders spinning cobwebs around it. Hahahahaha but then it’s all good, cause I have minimal workload and will be able to get them completed even by tomorrow, that is if I start work by tonight le..
My weekend kicked off perfectly well with a slumber trip to Uptown, PJ at ungodly 9:00am (it’s Saturday, mind you). Had to help my brother do some swappings of audio player with another friend of his before coming back home just in time for breakfast.
I actually made my way to Kuala Lumpur for three consecutive times in the span of 9 hours. The first one being a social meetup with fellow bloggers at Midvalley. The gathering was initally planned at 2:00pm but I only got there at about 2:20pm. I was late but then fortunately not the last one to arrive. Hehehehe speaking of Malaysian timing wei!
Speed dating in progress, or at least it seemed like it. :P
Jolene was here.. But Jolene’s soup is still here.
Fireangel and Yee Hou signalling the start of camwhoring session.
People started walking in and the noise level at Dome started to escalate like there’s no tomorrow. The place was quickly filled with brawny, brainy guys and intelligent, eye-popping beauties and right before you knew it, the CAMWHORING war has begun!
The white label on everyone’s chest/breast.
Free publicity for you, Jasiminne!
Jasiminne and I.
While people go around socializing with the rest, I was trying very hard to memorize each of everyone’s name and blog URL that are gracefully written on the white label before finally giving up and joining them in camwhoring session. Hahahahaha.
Calvin, Yee Hou and Justin POSING.
Jolene and Calvin.
I couldn’t even manage to retrieve the exact number of attendees due to several reasons, and one mainly being too many people and they were all moving about everywhere. I tried to keep track of the mobile ones but then all of a sudden, the string of flashes came blinding me in just split seconds. I quickly regained consciousness, only to find that the people had spreaded and then I see two figures instead of one.
Jason a.k.a Smashpop!
Suanie and Ringo of Cheeserland!
That’s Paul, Jason and ……
April actually brought one of her many towers of ear ring collections to be showcased and I must say that they are very adorable! Sigh, I would have bought the whole tower back home, only if I was a lady. Ranging from food to accessories and even *ahem* body parts! April does take custom orders so do drop by at her blog and check them out!
Yvonne, Karen, Julie and Weng Lum!
The Other Kenny, Justin and Calvin of Calvism!
Elaine and Yee Hou!
Jasiminne and Cheesie!
There should be roughly about 30 of us. The original list had 41 people so I guess the outcome was pretty satisfactory. We spent RM200 alone just on drinks and probably another RM100 on food of those who hadn’t eaten their lunch. I didn’t get to take pictures with/of all the ones who were present though :(

And then CAME THE RECORD BREAKING BLOGGERS JUMP ALA SMASHPOP STYLE! Doing so was surprisingly fun and body-taxing. Not forgetting to mention that the scorching hot sun didn’t help at all as we were jumping around like newborn livings while those people sitting down at Starbucks staring at us, dumbfounded. WOWEE! Those who didn’t participate surely would have felt the tremor as we pulled off the BLOGGERS JUMP.
Should any of you want the pictures posted here in my blog, feel free to leave a message and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible, aights? I’ll compile them up and place a link here for all of the images in 640×480. Other updates on the blogmeet can be found at any of those who attended the event. Go check them out, yo!
Coverage of Jogoya buffet dinner and Eddie Halliwell @ Zouk, right after the jump!
MORE PICTURES SO BE WARNED, 56K USERS!
Serenity at its best. Ah, blissful! :)
Mommy’s birthday present. Do you know what is it?
Mommy’s birthday cake, F.O.C! :P
Such a waste I had to bid farewell early as my family were all getting ready to leave the house for dinner already. So I got home just in time to exchange cars and then off we went to Starhill Gallery for Jogoya buffet dinner! RM100+ for a person can be a little damn pricey but for the amount of food we had and the fact that it’s mommy’s dinner in celebration of her birthday (today) so that probably made up to it!
The amount of food is jaw-dropping, but the quality can be questionable at times. I like how the system works in Jogoya as you drop your numbered clips on the plate. Chefs of the specific station will then proceed to cook your chosen food and then served directly to you by the waiters. Just eating alone is never fun, without some camwhoring madness (for the second time)!
Yap Jr. and Mr. Yap munching on teppanyaki beef.
Mrs. and Miss Yap joining in the fun!
Man, these fresh coconuts taste good! And they’re all FREE!
Toilet also so high-tech. Can wash backside!
Two hours was all that we needed to consume the amount of food that would have easily totaled up to RM700 instead. What a real bargain! Shops were closed by then so we made a move and back home. Without much rest, I had to get changed and then leave the house for Kuala Lumpur AGAIN. This time, I was en route to Zouk for Eddie Halliwell and then only to find that William and Chin weren’t there yet…
So I waited and actually talked to the bouncer who was guarding the entrance. I tried going in but he stopped me cause well, I’m underage afterall. So we had a good chat and said that I’d get in if my friends actually open a bottle. So it’s all set and we did. And god know whats happened, the bouncer suddenly turned grumpy and had a change of his mind by refusing us entry. Promoter talked to the supervisor and there we were, happily walking in and feeling the bass sweeping our feet off the ground.
Chin, William and Matthew.
William, Krystal, Sonia and Chin.
Mind you, that was only DJ Fono’s opening set and boy was it rocking already. Got ourselves a nice seat near the dancefloor by the side. And since Krystal knows Fono himself in person, Krystal gets to request for tracks and we got Say Hello by Deep Dish. I LOVED IT. Same remix as the one by Francis during Pit Party, though I’d prefer the original mix any time. William was the first to recognize the track and so everyone got really excited and scurried their way to the dancefloor, leaving poor me at the table to take care of personal belongings and drinks.
William, Krystal, Sonia, Chin and I.
That’s Sonia and I.
A proper picture of us :P
The fact that people now start coming in later than usual, DJ Fono had no choice but to continue spinning as the officials waited for the dancefloor to fill up.That has caused much loss of precious time, but we didn’t by camwhoring to keep ourselves occupied! Eddie Halliwell only came on at 1am and it all started off slowly before the pace picked up during the midst of his two hours set.
Like OMG, It’s Eddie….. HalliWELLLLLLLLLLL!
Chin, William and I. The “Raining” Trio!
William trying to look like tai koh!
Music was deafening. The problem about being in a club is the constant loud thumping tunes that make your brain wobble. I always make a fool out of myself by simply saying different things and not answering the questions that are directed to me. And well, that’s what exactly happened during the night. I remember Sonia asking me something and answering another. GAH! So malu wei.
Eddie reaching out for the crowd!
Can you spot Eddie in that crazy crowd?
Eddie Halliwell and the happiest guy in Zouk that night.
Despite having to fork out more than initially planned, I’m glad that everything paid off and happy to see that everyone actually had a blast during the night. Eddie Halliwell’s set was expectedly good, and HARD. He’s also the first DJ ever I know who actually jumped off the deck and to the crowd. Everyone was in a frenzy and every girl wanted to pull him back down and kiss him. I was there to witness the madness and it was quite a pretty sight. Good showmanship, excellent technical skills behind the consoles and fucking eargasmic music!
I felt guilty as well having to drag William into the hassle by purchasing a bottle cause he could have gone in by guestlist. Chin and I had to drive so we didn’t drink much. The bottle is still there with quarters of it remaining. The night ended bitterly sober and my level of highness was only the peak of 5 out of 10. Went yum cha with Fono and the rest after the night that ended with a loud bang.
Some videos that I managed to capture during the night. Enjoy!

2.48MB : Watch it for yourself and describe the video :P (1:03 secs)

[...] It didn’t take long before he took over the decks and started drowning us with funky tech house… And then moving on to a much more progressive set to pump the crowd. We were damn happy since it started off VERY early, at about 11:30pm and so we managed to get high for 3 whole hours! I still remember both Eddie and Judge Jule’s sets kicked off freaking late and that I was already half gone by then. [...]
