Elevate
It’s your fate
Don’t let go
Won’t escape
Energy
Is the source of us all
Travel fast
Travel light
In the speed
Sound and sight
Don’t let go
It’s your moment to shine
Give all that you can be
All you leave behind
Feed the state
That’s in your mind
I know you can define it
Take your figure and your speech
Wasted or united
Dreams manifest years
The places fake a final
The space we are
The space we were
The face we are
The face we were
Weeks ago, I was still contemplating on whether to go for the highly anticipated Recharge REVEL4TION or not. It will be happening on the 28th October at A’ Famosa, Malacca. Not having able to make a decision, I therefore turned to the slogan contest which I voluntarily submitted my entry just to see if I was fated to attend the event. Hehehe and yeah, results just out few days back and I saw my name listed under Counter 2. Great!
Hehehehe okayla, not that I’m complaining or whatsoever. I just felt a little tad surprised since this is the very first time that I actually won something out of a slogan contest. Oh wait, in fact it’s like the FIRST EVER contest that I actually participated in and won! Seems like I’ll be joining in the bandwagon after all.
So we turned up at Zouk on Saturday night just to retrieve the tickets but then the rest that happened throughout the rest of the night was pretty much a spontaneous occasion. It wasn’t long after when the sky started raining cats and dogs, so we were forced to cramp in the puny foyer of Zouk while looking at beautifully dressed up ladies scrambling their way to find shelter.
Well, let’s just SAY that the rain didn’t stop so we had to abort our initial plan and off we went into Mainroom instead. Hehehehe, well then of course not without having to overcome some obstacles along the way. Getting in that night for me was a breeze though. Once again, I have Vicharn to thank for! Hehehehe geez, can’t ever thank him enough… Will have to make it up to him one day.
So it took quite a while before everyone got in and just about the time when Ronski Speed actually took over the deck at about 12:30am. Cameras out and then began the picture taking frenzy. For a moment, it seemed just like the flashing strobelights you find in clubs instead of camera flashes.
Ronski’s set was simply mind blowing! I thought his previous set back in June last year was awesome, but that night itself was ultimately orgasmic! I nearly died of hyperventilation due to trance overdose. I like how Ronski kept the flow of the music at an uplifting pace with quite a number of well known trance hits. Until I manage to identify the few other tracks in the video, you will just have to make do with Ronski Speed’s Incognition, Gabriel & Dresden’s Tracking Treasure Down and Delirium feat. Sarah Mclachlan’s Silence.
As far as I remember, Ronski also played Above & Beyond’s Can’t Sleep, Ferry Corsten’s Junk, Oceanlab’s Satellite and few others that sound awfully familiar. Now where’s our walking trance dictionary, William!? Hehehehehe..
Perhaps it was the cause of the sudden heavy downpour, the dancefloor was unexceptionally empty! Well, not to the extent but never had I been able to dance without not having to worry about stamping on someone else’ foot. We had the whole space to ourselves. Crowd was unseemly small too. MATTHEW!! Hahahaha good to see you again… And come to think of it, the only place we actually bump into each other is Zouk.. *sweats*
The night ended on a high note with a picture together with Ronski Speed himself! This I have Fono to thank for. Another person who I look highly upon. Hehehehehehe though it took me quite some time to digest the fact that he’s like WAY my senior of LUCT. Will be looking forward to his very own set at REVEL4TION!
And sorry about the lack of captions for today’s post. There are just too many pictures and I am in a rush to grab my late lunch anyway. Videos below, so hope you enjoy / see what you have missed out on!

MEET YOU THERE
Though it seems a little dodgy from the exterior,Maison was good, albeit a little too confined. I didn’t quite expect myself to grow into the place but the fact that it’s not as crowded as Zouk and the theme really adds up to a somewhat refreshing clubbing ambience.
I’ve already been there twice on consecutive weeks and Goldfish was spinning on both nights. Those who know me well should have know that I’m not much of a RnB’ fan. I’d dance like a robot and stone like a… well, stoner. It is rather unfortunate that I cannot groove along to the music like a spineless handsome lad or shake my bon-bon, simply because I don’t have a nice set in the first place.
However, it’s the group of people that I was with that made the night (or two) memorable ones. With all the cheap booze and crazy bunch of people, I foresee yet another night out at Maison this coming Thursday. Hehehehehe how I would love to be part of it, but then I guess I will have to give it a pass as well this time around.
Natalie and I.
This time together with Natalie and Kel Li.

Besides, the last outing at Maison wasn’t solely for the fun of it, but to celebrate someone’s birthday as well. Nat also had T-Bone to announce the special occasion and dedicated Pussycat Doll’s “Buttons” as one of her favourite songs to savour when the clock struck 12 midnight. It was Kel Li’s 21st birthday and you can tell she was enjoying every moment of it!

Geez… I just realized that I took way more pictures than I initially planned to. Hehehehehe it was a fun night anyway. I got more updates coming on so stay tuned, yo!

People have complaining about me not bringing my Isabella out oftenly and that it deserves more than just sitting nicely at the corner doing nothing. Hehehe well, truth is, I DO take her out for a walk and together we cherish both the happy and sad moments at times. Just a few pictures that I took over the past week or so, to compensate on the lack of contextual content lately..
Haze, haze go away, please come again some other day.
Life of an ordinary bitch. How I wish to be just like one.
Obviously certainty is uncertain.
Owh.. When is my dinner gonna be served? :(
I think Yellowpages is the right solution to my problems.
ZOUKOUT 06
“ZoukOut gets Far Out” - Singapore’s biggest outdoor dance festival to rock the region… AGAIN!
After a record turnout of 18,000 revelers last year, 2006 is gearing up to be an even more massive and sophisticated event with lineup, activities and event organization to match.
Taking place over 12 hours from dusk till dawn (8pm - 8am), with 4 music arenas spanning 56,000 sq ft across the sandy beach, each pumping different dance genres from house, trance, electro, progressive, alternative/ indie, hip hop and of course the ever popular Mambo Jambo; every clubber, including your mama, will be more than appeased.
This year’s lineup is unprecedented in its diversity, including much media-hyped acts that have never before been to the region as well as embracing fresh new sounds in the world of electronica.
Ferry Corsten (Holland), voted amongst the Top 10 DJs of the world, headlines the Main Arena with his track “Daylight” of his current album “L.E.F” selected as the official ZoukOut ‘06 song. Also playing the same arena is Steve Lawler, one of UK’S leading proponents of dance music.
Hip Hop’s cream of the crop Jazzy Jeff (US), and first timers to the region, Kind of Mash Up, 2MANYDJS from Belgium, all make up part of the blockbuster lineup. Many more names will be released in the coming weeks.
And after the success of the first time Live Stage last year, it returns again featuring some of Singapore’s best bands, like Electrico, Plain Sunset, Astreal & The Great Spy Experiment and to thrill live music fans further, the billing will also include some of the regions best live acts too! Stars Don’t Fall from Australia plus more to be confirmed.
From out-of-this world performers and art installations, to free gaming, carnival rides & drumming lessons, from palmistry to foot massage, not to mention inexpensive vendors offering an array of sumptuous foods, you will never have a dull moment!
With full intention of making this the most seamless ZoukOut experience ever, entry & re-entry points into the venue, bar staff & bars plus frequency of ZoukOut shuttle services, have all been increased.
