Birthday to A Very Special Person

24

April

To the miserable snatch thief of Subang Jaya,

You know who you are. You may ride that pathetic bike of yours around town and snatching belongings of others, but you surely are scootering your way down to hell and get burn to fucking ashes for all the sins that you have committed. I’m deeply sorry that you have chosen to mess with the wrong family, and most importantly, the WRONG victim. If one could curse the fucking shit out of you, just imagine what a family can do to YOURS. Well, that is, if you have any in the first place, which I’m truly sorry for them having you to be part of theirs.

So much for a HAPPY birthday for my mom. Fucking bastard. How I wish I could have done something instead of watching that fucking piece of shit drove away leisurely. Even if the hammer of justice doesn’t plant nails into your ass, I truly believe that He will.

GAH!!! Sorry, not in the right frame of mind to blog. Will be back soon.

Happy birthday to you again, mommy. That sucker will pay for his actions, I assure you.

Question of the Day

April

Q1.
What is made out of cloud, filled with love, walks on four legs, barks on day time but meows when night falls, brown furs and sniffs like a rat?

Marching On With the April Babies!

16

April

So it took more than ninety minutes for Chelsea to actually capitalize on the deflating side of Blackburn who seemed to have had the slightest chance of winning if it wasn’t because of Michael Ballack’s 110th minute goal. Both teams are still in the running for the grand prize of all competitions, with Chelsea having won one already.

Only a week after the 7-1 demolition of Roma (sweet!), Manchester United swept Watford aside with a remarkable 4-1 victory at Villa Park. The best is yet to come as we are on course on clinching our second treble and Chelsea are the only team who can stop us from doing so. Both teams will meet at Wembley for FA Cup Final, and probably Champions League Final too. The remaining game at Stamford Bridge will most likely decide the champions for EPL.

Together with the good news, come birthday celebrations of the April babies! Nat and I were both cordially invited to Lisa’s birthday dinner at the Curve and it was good meeting up with the small bunch of people who I haven’t seen in a while. Dinner at Italiannies was opposed by majority due to the immensely big crowd so we adjourned to Marche instead (ouch!).

I was late for the dinner WITH valid reason as I had to pick dearest Nat up from work. No time wasted though as I quickly let the glutton in me take over the consumption of food. I had 2/3 of my passport card chopped and the dinner totaled up to a staggering RM480 for eight person. 1/2 roasted chicken, 1 plate of plain rosti, 1 chicken cheese sausage, 1 bowl of mushroom soup and cups of juices ALL by myself = pregnant Slinky.

And what better things to do after a wholesome meal than CAMWHORING? Hooo! Didn’t make me look any chubbier in the pictures though :\ Was supposed to catch a movie after the dinner but there weren’t many movies showing on that night itself! How unusual.. Went for a drink and then back home. Happy birthday once again, Lisa! Hope you had a great time (working at PC Fair throughout the weekend) :P

Nextly, we have got our beloved Nick’s birthday party at his crib! Pile of assignments towering over my head to work on but I still managed to find some time to attend his party and had a couple few some drinks to sip on. Well, I don’t really know most of the people there but it was all good, especially with the presence of alcohol. Alcohol brings everyone together! Now remember that, kids!

Food catered did look quite tempting but I was too full to eat (never too full to drink though :P) and the drinking started not long after. Everyone was actually waiting for booze to arrive because the inital barrels of beer, apparently imported from Portugal.

Rain was causing much hassles on the road and set-ups but that didn’t stop people from coming just about the right time for the flowing whiskey from one cup to another. I didn’t get to drink much because I had to get my ass back to work at home while the girls went partying at Maison after that. Poor Nick had to stay back and get bombarded with drinks from everyone else. Happy birthday once again, Nick!

Last but not least, we have Cherrie whose birthday falls on the 12th of April! I hope you had a great one. Hehehehehe I was looking for a picture taken together with you but I realized there’s only one! OMG.. Must take more pictures the next time we meet ok? The pictures reminded me of those times when I was still an intern at Xfresh.. Miss those days :( Happy birthday to you again, Cherrie!

Okay… that’s all for today. Coming up next would be Zouk KL’s 3rd Anniversary party! For real!

Byes..

Memesified

April

Ahoy! Gloomy Thursday it is, with Manchester United having lost 1-2 at Olympico Stadium but we will bounce back on the return leg of Champions League quarter-finals! For now, we have an away goal to celebrate with and shall look forward to marching on to the glorious triumph at Athens this coming May!

On the other hand, Chelsea managed to seize a draw at Stamford Bridge after going down to Valencia’s first strike. I was supposed to wake up for the matches with my alarm clock set to 3:00am. I even slept early last night but to no avail. Just as predictably right, I woke up at noon today and having to sulk over the full-time result.

Today is also the day Dr.Tan visits my blog! Something to boast about, considering the fact that Fractionize don’t get many readers these days, mainly having me to blame for deserting poor ol’ dear Fraccie.

And since I have nothing to do for the day (yet), I might as well just spend some solitary moment on the various memes that I have been tagged. Keeps my brain working for the rest of the day so, here we go!

3. I seldom wear long pants since I graduated from high school.

10 THINGS THAT I LIKE

1. I love beer, and it has got to be one and only Heineken. Tiger Beer and Carlsberg come as alternatives. Meet You There™

2. Partying is part of my life. I mean, what’s life without partying anyway? Clubbing and raving is altogether different thing so do not compare those two.

3. Graphic design. That explains what I’m doing right now. Reality is a masterpiece on its own, in many ways. We so happen, are the designers.

4. Photography. Every picture tells a thousand words.

5. Meeting random people. Life is fully made out of surprises.

6. Chilli. Random but yeah, it is the essence of every good meal. Plus, it spices up your life!

7. Taking pictures of myself. Even more so, when nobody’s watching. (Note: Camgolo)

8. Gadgets. Aww, come on. It’s like expensive toys for grown-up men. Has got similar effects as food when treated to us. The spare key into our heart besides the stomach.

9. Freebies. Who doesn’t? Any form will do!

10. A good conversation. Keeps me sane and focused on more important issues of life :)

That’s all for now! Bye people!

REPORT: Zoukout 06 @ Sentosa, SG

02

April

03-04-2007: POST HAS BEEN UPDATED! SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE PICTURES!

The post that many have been waiting for! I’m just happy to know that I’m finally done with this long overdue report because I have been bugged countless amount of times by those (who are still) keen on knowing how the party went. Simply orgasmic, and ZoukOut has done it once again in making my Singapore trip all the more worthwhile!

And before I proceed, I would just like to remind you that this post is going to take quite some time to load with the monstrous amount of pictures compiled altogether from four different cameras! Videos right at the end of the post!

So came the day that we have been waiting for almost a year with memories from the last instalment still fresh in mind. It was a beautiful morning with adequate sunshine to provide a healthy dosage of proposed sunbathing at Sentosa Island. Just like the previous year, we made our way to Harbourfront Centre early ahead of others so that we had extra bit of time to spend on a wholesome meal before crossing over to the island.

Having learnt our lesson, we made use of the shuttle services that transport us around the island for easier access to beaches. However, that didn’t stop us from making our necessary “pit-stops” and camwhore with the beautiful erm…. sceneries? We also managed to get lost within the island itself before hopping back on track with the help of signboards.

A friendly game of beach football, followed by a round of sunbathing before rolling down the slanted beach and dipping self into the salt water while keeping an eye on potential looking Singaporean passerbys. That’s what I call life! Alas, evening came too soon and we were overshadowed by the clouds that blocked the essential sunshine. Well, then of course, nothing can stop us from taking pictures regardless of the situation or whatsoever.

Ohohoh, and so night falls right before we knew it. The scene became crowdier than before as partygoers are beginning to sink the island itself. We washed up and had refreshments before adjourning to the nearby food court to stock up much energy for the much anticipated 12 hour party of the year. Camwhored throughout the meal. Oh well, what’s new?

We’re ready to party! Everyone checked on their wrist watch every 10 minutes as we anxiously waited for the metre tall gate that could barely resist the hundreds of raving party animals to open. It was 8:15pm and still no sight of nearby security crew signalling the opening of entrance. Speaking of which, they are actually pretty buffed up but look pretty ghey at the same time with those tight outfit of theirs. Can Zouk be that stingy in not handing out larger sized t-shirts for them?

Half past eight and still no sign, suddenly came this buffy man with his whistle on the hand. “Attention to all ticket holders! Attention to all ticket holders!” he uttered. Everyone was on instant alert (now that’s what I call discipline, you Malaysians!) There was a brief moment of silence. The security guy then smiled… “Welcome to Zoukout 2006“. He stood by the side, almost risked himself getting stomped by the impatient crowd for wasting any more time.

The music, the vibrant lightings and the pure sand of Siloso Beach! You can probably tell now that we were in absolute delight and ecstatically running around like party virgins, fanning selves with drink coupons. Oh, and how can I miss out on the familiar green hues of my favourite beer booth, Heineken? Meet You There, baybeh!

Bumping into friends at an outdoor event outside of my own beloved country is one of the best things to experience! It didn’t take us long enough to meet up with Tina and the rest. That made us a pretty big bunch of people to be hanging out together then. The placement of stages were slightly different this time around and there were also more games and booths to check out.

And silly me, I kinda like went tad too fast on the drinks, thus causing temporary nauseousness and out of control. After having been there for Matthew Dekay’s set, I had to skip pretty much the whole of Steve Lawler’s and hopped on to other arenas before taking a much needed rest at the Ghetto arena for quick breather.

Caught up with William, Chin, Krystal, Andi and Rachel back at the main arena when headliner Ferry Corsten was about to take over the consoles from Stevie. And little did I expect to see Evelyn and her boyfriend at ZoukOut too! In fact, there were quite a number of awfully familiar looking faces spotted at the party itself. Will not go much into detail since it’s not important anyway.

The clock struck 3:00am as Steve Lawler grabbed the mic and announced his end of the set. Ferry Corsten barely had to gesture to even send the crowd on a high. Everyone was in absolute delerium when Ferry opened his set with Cass Fox’s Touch Me. The atmosphere was sheer euphoria and it never went down from that point onwards. Ferry totally drove the crowd crazy with his uplifting set and I had the best time ever (with slight intoxication).

I’m just glad that I managed to shake off the alcohol just in time to enjoy every single minute of Ferry Corsten’s set. It was so good, I had my goosebumps soaring throughout the whole night. An encore was requested but as usual, it wasn’t entertained. Ferry dished out quite a number of familiar tracks too, including his very own Fire, L.E.F, Sublime as well as Armin vs. Rank 1 feat. Kush’s The World Is Watching Me.

That pretty much sums up to the main highlight of ZoukOut 06′. Ben Sims came on after that but we had to take a break so we moved to the Velvet arena and never went back. Heard Ben Sims was banging throughout the whole set though. Too bad I missed it :(

Everyone was exhausted after hours of standing and shoutings. The break of the dawn beckoned as we looked around to spot more familiar looking faces. People were already leaving the beach and so we decided to as some could no longer stand the ordeal. It was a memorably record-breaking 11 hours of good music. Couldn’t ask for more.

However, it wasn’t the best idea to leave either as we were stranded in the island for almost 2 hours without having able to get public transportation back to the mainland. We ended up having breakfast and taking power naps at the same foodcourt which we had our dinner. There were other people lying across the road as well, due to exhaustion and/or intoxication. Couldn’t really tell which one was it :P

Well apparently, the problem didn’t end right there as we finally got back to the hotel itself. I was struggling to keep myself awake in the cab while the girls slept SOUNDLY at the back instead. By the time we reached hotel sweet hotel, it was about 11am but we had to wait for the new room to be available as we decided to spend another night to rejuvenate.

Everyone was dead tired, we only woke up at 8pm the same day itself for dinner at nearby shop. Street was unusually empty. Food wasn’t too bad either as the owner actually came from Malaysia itself! Thumbs up for our very own cook.

So the inevitable final day of our trip, the fact that we had whole lots of fun together and also with new additions to the group this time around, it was kinda sad to leave Singapore too soon but well, memories are kept together in the heart as well as the place itself. Unless Singapore sinks, or me getting heart broken, the Singapore trip will always remain forever in me :)

WAIT! The update doesn’t end just there yet! We decided to make our last pit stop at the newly open Vivo City and boy, is it wonderful! So many shops and things to buy, albeit a little awkward with the floor layout plan. Gotta walk in ‘infinite’ symbol to check out all the shops that are hidden behind the corridors.

Last but not least, Carl’s Jr. for dinner! OMGWTFBBQKKNCCBDNMCH! The burger is so good, first bite was orgasmic and got me all aroused.. I mean, my tastebuds. And I’m too lazy to continue blogging already. Not like there’s anything else to since we headed straight to the train station after that and hopped into the train back KL.

I was THIS close to getting the media pass, with the help of Xfresh group but then I left KL for Singapore right before Miss Tracy Philips replied to our media request. Oh well, perhaps another time? Thanks anyway for helping out, Shaz!

And of course, thanks for the great company, everyone! It definitely is one of the best holidays ever and you guys made my day! More pictures and videos can be found at the end of this post. Hope you enjoy reading it just as much as me writing it! You can also read about the event over at Kel Li’s (Part1, Part2, Part3, Part4) and Nat’s (Part1, Part2, Part3, Part4, Part5). They too have many pictures to enlighten you with!
