Truth be told, things haven’t been much of a smooth ride for me. Too many things happening simultaneously in just a glance or two. How I missed those times when you run straight into the room after school just to sit back and start flipping through pages of your Doraemon comic books. Then again, I suppose it is only wrong to be expecting the same lifestyle a decade after having graduated from elementary school.
So my birthday has come and gone. Didn’t really do much anyway. Besides, my 22nd birthday fell on a weekday so decided to keep the celebrations subtle(phew!) by having simple dinner at Chin’s! Beloved Nat cooked Bak Kut Teh and baked cupcakes for me as well! Not much drinking involved this year around, though a couple of beers did its job reasonably well :)
I know it’s been more than weeks since my birthday, but I just thought I should personally thank everyone who wished me on MSN, Facebook, SMSes and in person! I need not a 10,000 dollar party, or even a Porsche for my birthdays. Afterall, just a simple wish and that totaling up to a truckload is more than enough to put a smile on my face at the end of the day.
