I woke up to a gloomy Tuesday with fogged up windows, reminiscing the good ol’ winter times because that’s when we get to head up to Falls Creek for some snowboarding action once again! HOWEVER, the only problem now is.. we’re only half way through Autumn!

Many have experienced the sudden drop in temperature over the past weekend but then again, it’s Melbourne! We are still a month away from Winter but the weather proves otherwise. I slaved on 3D Animation and Virtual Space late last night in mere 9 degree celcius. Room temperature, might I add. Not that I despise the current weather, though it surely took me by surprise. My winter clothes are nicely folded in the luggage and I’m just too damn lazy to take em’ out for now.

And so our internet is back to its normal speed. Oh, the joy! And I thought having a 128K connection was bad enough, little did we know that ours was capped to 64K instead! Couldn’t even do my research properly, but am glad it’s all over (for now)! Been on ASOT400 downloading spree since. Lots to catch up, especially with our favourite botak hairy man a.k.a Sunlounger a.k.a Roger Shah touching down for an exclusive gig here in Melbourne on the 22nd May.

No, wait. Apparently it is said that DJ Shah will be arriving a week prior to his gig for a little trip around Australia and also requested for a little soccer session with the local fans. NOW THAT’S CRAZY! Not sure how true this is, but will keep our fingers crossed. Would die to kick some balls alongside DJ Shah even though I suck at it. Just hope I don’t kick the wrong …..

Now that IS one old picture, taken by my brother when we were up in Mt. Buller for the first time (not him). ANYWAY! About the ski trip, we just MIGHT give Mt. Buller a shot since everyone seems to be tight on budget this year around. Or maybe both! :P

Okay, gonna pack up and leave for uni FOR the second time today. I hate uni schedules. Sickens me!

Byes byes!

And so we have finally hit the bandwidth limit today. My internet is currently capped and it took me 45 minutes just to post this one up. I wouldn’t usually bother waiting for such a long time but I refused to give up this time around. This goes to show how important THIS post is. And it means more than just a picture.

Happy birthday, mommy! This is the least I could do, for I am 6000km’s away from your nagging and I am missing every bit of it. It’s just funny how mommy called yesterday, thinking that it WAS her birthday when it actually falls on this very special day instead.

Hope all is well back home in Malaysia, and perhaps I’d see you this winter break? I bet the Yappies will be having either Japanese food or steak for dinner, as it has always been on any of our birthdays. Hahahah!

Take care and have a great one!

From your useless-but-adorable-at-the-same-time son,
Mun Hoong :)

So Easter Break has come and gone. Unfortunate it is, especially when the mood just started picking up in speed during the last days . House warming session went awesomely well, though I’m now living in remorse over my blunder as a host. More on that later, for I am back to the mundane routine of boring classes and even more assignments to dwell on.

More importantly, sorry bout the sudden hiatus as I’ve been kept busy with other little jobs that eventually piled up to a mountain of workload! Almost got buried alive if it wasn’t because of my self-determination in finishing up the work prior to the arrival of my new toy. What a beauty, isn’t she? So yeah, that pretty much explains why I secluded myself from the outside world as I indulge in some pure full HD mind-blasting action.

Hahahaha no, really. I haven’t been out of the house in a while because I’m kinda running low on cash. Reinforcement hasn’t arrived just yet, therefore we have been cooking everyday. Now, please don’t delete me off my friend’s list :(

Would love to blog about Trance Energy 2009 (which kicked ass, by the way), though I think that’ll have to wait for now. Am off to catch some good rest but here’s just a sneak peek of what you guys have missed out on! Tadaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~

Gosh, my body is still hurting as a result of hardcore workout couple of days ago. Plus, nine hours of pure awesome trance music didn’t help either but hey, I ain’t complaining! Trance Energy Australia was not quite what many would have expected, but it surely delivered to me! Events elsewhere are pretty much the same; watered down and can’t be compared to the real deal that happens in Netherland.

Unfortunately, this is not a proper update as I’m on the verge of completing a project. Quite a challenge, I’d say as it differs much from my usual style. Current feedback, however, has given me a fair bit of satisfaction though I’ll continue to work on it over time. Always remember one thing; viewers over self.

And since I’m now in the overdrive mode of wanting to just write everything in HTML codes, I’ll be working on the new colour scheme of this blog over the next few days. Changes are not apparent just yet, though I’m sure none of you people are blind enough to NOT have noticed the big ass new header! Hehehehe. Comments are very much appreciated, and portfolio site will be up in no time!

I’m a sucker for everything symmetrical (well, mostly). Boring, I hear you say?
Okay, am gonna prepare for dinner now. Till then, take care!

This might sound ridiculous but it just came to mind that, April’s Fool was two days ago! How I totally forgot about it! Hahaha, I suppose it is something I should be grateful about since I didn’t get pranked (or did I?) My lecturer once told me that it is a local custom here that pranks will usually be carried out only till midday. Can’t be too sure about it though :\

And now, time for a little trackbacking! Future Music Festival has always been features packed, and this year is no exception as we came to witness blockbusters N.E.R.D, Basement Jaxx, Paul Oakenfold and Markus Schulz, just to name a few. Then of course, we as pure trance junkies had no choice but to make sacrifices due to clashing of timetable.

And just how conveniently Future Music Festival had to happen on the most beautiful Sunday ever. The calm breeze that swept us along with the bright sun glaring under clear blue sky. Simply perfect for an outdoor event with a drink (or two or three or four) in hand. In fact, I had more than I usually do since it doesn’t take much to get the rush when it comes to rave parties!

Getting there wasn’t so much of a hassle as express train services depart from Flinders, Southern Cross and North Melbourne stations every 15 minutes interval. We got there just in time to witness the closing set of Dr.Willis and Jewelz before Steve Strangis took over the helm at the decks and brought the already big crowd into overdrive mode.

We did managed to walk around the venue, and I can safely say that it whoops a big can off Sidney Myer’s Music Bowl ass. Period. The Flemington Racecourse accommodated 6 different arenas with still so much room for pedestrian walk paths, bars and whatnots. Not forgetting to mention, Future brought the customary dodgy ferris-wheel ride along. We were nowhere near the foam arena though as we didn’t wanna get ourselves dirty (ironic, ay?)

Back to the Godskitchen arena, which we so gladly stayed at throughout the whole day, the place was already 70% filled but we were fortunate enough to find a prime location that granted us the perfect view of the DJs. Yeah, we were RIGHT in front where strobe lights often get a little blinding and smoking machine choking you everytime the DJ drops a killer ch00n!

It wasn’t long before Super8 & Tab took over (ANJUNABEATS!) and the whole crowd went into a frenzy. Playing most of their very much anticipated tunes and remixes such as Elektra, Helsinki Scorchin’, Amsterdam, Made of Love and New York City. Their set was simply sublime, just the one we’d hoped for and wished it could have been longer!

Markus Schulz finished off after Super8 & Tab with a rather progressive set. I actually enjoyed his set though it suddenly made us miserable upon viewing the tracklist for the afterparty at Queensbridge Hotel instead. Gah! Still, quite an iconic figure worth experiencing live on stage. So much energy and enthusiasm in him! I was hoping that he’d play some older tracks but the Perspective Space was all that we got :\

Luminary-Amsterdam (Super8 & Tab Remix) !

Wippenberg – Chakalaka (Original Mix)

Hard Fi – Suburban Knights ( ID remix)

Rafael Frost – Red (Original Mix)

Man, I really suck in writing for event coverage now. ANYWAY, Future Music Festival was heaps fun and the company I had together made it even more memorable! Not too bad for a warm-up party till Trance Energy hits the Australia shores next coming weekend!

Till then, ignore the rain and have a great weekend! Take care!

I almost forgot how fun blogging can be, especially when you’ve got work to do but rather spend time on singling out pictures with yourself looking best and editing them prior to posting. Hahaha don’t get me wrong though! I don’t airbrush my face, lifting my cheekbones and neither do I make my eyes bigger in resemblance to a goldfish’. I’m pretty sure there ARE a couple of unflattering pictures of myself posted here that would testify to the above statement, though you’d have to work hard to find them :P

Anyway, my weekend is finally here! Which also means that another Wednesday has come and gone. It makes me sick in the stomach just thinking about how quickly time flies. Even more so, when you’re getting older by the days. The rapid growth just makes you feel like you’re way ahead of time that clock seems to have just stop ticking.

Haven’t been eating well lately as I am still recuperating from a suspected stomach flu (Google!) Came bundled together with fever since Monday but I managed to shake it off without much sweat though. Am so going to pamper myself with some lip-smacking Porterhouse steak once I’m all well once again! Apart from that, we’ve been cooking almost everyday and THAT really saved us quite a bit of money.

Last but not least, do check out ProjectMuffStit’s website and celebrate their return from long hiatus! Now go give Muff and Stit some well deserved loving while I attempt to steal the pictures taken at Future Music Festival.

Till then, take care!
