Eveline’s 23rd Birthday Party!
2 June 2009Can’t believe it’s been 5 years since National Service came and went. No doubt about life being a rather bumpy ride after that but it just always seems much more of an enjoyable one when you’ve got the privilege to share these many little wonderful memories with friends that you made along the way.
The first time I met Eveline was back in Bachok camp, Kelantan when we were still coming to terms with life out of our comfort zone. It really was a culture shock but we managed to survive the ordeal with the other 5 sisters and three brothers. Though I haven’t seen the rest of them over the last three years or so, Eveline is now studying here while Jaime dropped by last year for holiday.
When are you turns next, Rachel and Prisca! Hahaha missing everyone of you, including Joel. Yes, our ex-president of Kambing Clan is now slaving his ass off in UK. Seems like he’s having the time of his life though.
So we got invited by Eveline to her cosy home at Jeffcott’s for a little house party in conjunction with her 23rd birthday party (you’re getting old!) Upon being told that food would be provided, I decided to turn up with an empty stomach cause I know Lainey happens to be a good cook, and boy did she not disappoint me! The chicken casserole was explicitly awesome and not forgetting those irresistible vodka jello shots by Eveline!
It was also the very same night I got introduced to the board game, Cranium. Ideal for board game fanatics who fancy Pictionary, Taboo, Articulate and such. And what more better ways to giving Cranium a try than making a fool out of myself in front of the half the crowd I barely know.
Well that of course, was just the early hours of the night before we sang Eveline the obligatory birthday song! What came next was something we’d probably be not surprised; CIRCLE OF DEATH! From chicken master to HATTA NOOKEE NOO KEE KEE, tapping on shoulders and oh, Indian Poker.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Eveline and Daniel for being the great hosts of the night! Good food, good company and great fun, as always!
Till this Sunday for another round of Cranium, it’s back to assignments! OH YEAH!
Nic Chagall- This Moment
1 June 2009For way too many miles now
I’ve been flying with broken wings
And now I’m falling faster to the ground
And it’s a bitter end to a story so sweet
Like a long lost friend
That’s never found a way back to me
And I can’t deny these memories
Got me all locked up inside
And you hold the key
All that I need is this moment
To send me away with a smile on my face
I tried to leave but I turn back
On my heart remains a trace
All that I see is this moment
All day in my mind I recreate
If there was a way to get back
This feeling of chase..of chase
All that I need is this moment
This moment
