I think we might have just found the perfect alternative to our occasional drinking session at Backpackers. After what seemed to be a rather chaotic last night out at the good ol’ pub, we now look forward to the next karaoke session with another 3 bottles of Black Label and hopefully more hours of singing (or screaming).

Last night at Chi karaoke proved to be nonetheless, a rowdy one as 13 of us somehow managed to squeeze into a rather tiny room. 3 bottles of BL for the price of 2 made the night even more memorable as we were trying out on their new karaoke system with up-to-date extensive list of songs to choose from.

Am utterly surprised how we got out of the place, not feeling even a tiny bit of intoxication. The adrenaline rush from belting out dodgy, cheesy and the ever infamous songs in the 90s as well as the heat! Things got a little bit stuffy in the room as everyone was puncturing their lungs like there’s no tomorrow!

Hmm.. Am gonna miss times like these, though I’m looking forward to heading back home for now. SEXPO tomorrow and Alex birthday cum Richmond’s farewell at VII as well.

Have a great night, peeps!

Yet another casual day out with the usual ones as Michelle brought us to Birdman Eating in Fitzroy for lunch. The lamb is to die for, along with the fried calamari but we didn’t get to try the rabbit meat Michelle was raving about though. Perhaps another round before I head back to KL?

It actually was quite a scorching hot day and we were seated outside for quite some time with my back baring to the high UV indexed sunlight. Thankfully a couple got off just in time for us to move in and needed an ice cold beer to keep the temperature at bay.

I actually find the snapper fish pretty intriguing, as it reminded me very much of ikan bakar back home, though nothing beats the original ones. And for the measly price that we had to pay for such a sumptuous lunch, I highly recommend to just about anybody about Birdman!

Just when I thought of calling it a day after the PMS fashion show at VII, we headed to Charlie’s Bar at Hardware Lane for Ada’s birthday celebration instead. Quite a nice place to chill with pretty cheap prices for drinks as well. Their Hoegaardens are to die for, especially since it’s fresh from tap! A few of us probably ended up emptying half the barrel of it in less than an hour.

When I thought of calling it a day, I really meant it as my body felt like it was gonna break down anytime. The two big glasses of Hoegaardens didn’t exactly do the trick either and I was that close to giving Steve Aoki a miss who spun at Roxanne Parlour on the very same night!

We got there just a little over midnight, and the place was already packed to the brim. Though I really like the place for some reasons, but the crowd just didn’t cut it as they were rowdy to the core. The girls had a rough time dealing with all the intoxicated douchebags who came forcing their way through just to get to the front.

The problem didn’t stop there as an apparent fight broke out, and everyone was relocated to the back room. Took us quite some time to settle down at a decent spot and the ventilation was plain horrendous. Steve Aoki however, living up to everyone’s expectations and dropping crazy tunes after another. The whole place was just simply out of control!

What a enjoyable sweat fest it was, and he brought me back from the dead as I was tired as hell. Couldn’t be bothered taking any pictures, though I just had to snap one of him at least. It was really hard to snap a decent one with those people shoving others around. Ivan and I were both hoping that Devon Aoki was part of the tour… Sigh!

Happy Friday, the 13th people!

Wow. I don’t even know where to start. I procrastinated, and that’s a fact. I haven’t been bothered with this blog of mine since the end of my semester because it has been a real tiring one. The past couple of months truly were tormenting with the crazy workload I found myself buried in. And because I’m so rusty with this whole blogging thing, it’s gonna take some time getting used to once again.

Much had happened in just such a short duration of time, as I’m still trying to digest the fact that 2009 is coming to an end already. Not exactly the best year, though I’ve done quite a bit for myself and probably good additions to my portfolio as well.

Will save the grandfather story for some other time, as here are the pictures taken during the exclusive PMS Fashion show held at VII on the 23rd of October, 2009. Once again, am really honoured and happy to be part of the Projectmuffstit family, though my contribution is little to none compared to what the rest of the guys have done. A good motivation, perhaps?

Once again, a heartfelt congratulations to Michelle and Sheryl of PMS for putting such an awesome show! Such inspirations, you girls are. Not forgetting DJ Ash of ZOMG! Parties held on every Friday at VII sideroom.

And so that’s how we celebrated Independence Day 3000 miles away from homeland. Ironic as it may sound, no? We didn’t have to light a candle only to get arrested for the sake of PEACE. We didn’t have to endure some crappy 1Malaysia slogan and song which PM put so much hope in uniting the nation. And yes, we’re getting Black Eyed Peas here as well, and everyone’s INVITED!

Four bottles, great company, LAPSAP, ZOMG! and emphatic atmosphere! NOW you know why that weekend got us all hyped up for the past month and still feeling the adrenaline rush two week after.

OH NO! I don’t have a picture with Kenny Sia…. Like I give two shit! Dont mean to offend but I think he’s rather off blogging than talking on the mic. And two consecutive countdowns for what? That of course, doesn’t stop me from being one his loyal readers, though I must admit the quality has deteriorated over the years as compared to when he first started.

So, how did you celebrate Malaysia’s 52nd Independence Day? :)

This was the one Friday night with rumor circulating about LAPSAP spinning at VII when we all knew that it wasn’t so much of a rumor after all. I have to admit the weekend took its toll on me as my entire week was spent on recuperating because it was simply MENTAL! Probably by far the best weekend ever in 2009.

The last time we actually went to VII was two months ago, when Matthew came all the way from Sydney just to celebrate his birthday. The night was good, though it could have been fantastic if it wasn’t because of some stuck-up cunt fuck who threatened to ruin our night. I can’t say I would have made a big difference if I was around but at least something could have been done to get the asswipe out of our sight.

While it took quite a while to ease the tension, I was glad the party mood got back on momentum upon restoring peace. And the next thing you know, the girls were all high on alcohol and invaded the dancefloor while we watched on. Couple of beers and bottles of champagne did the job perfectly well during the night as the guys helplessly witnessed them stumbling over podiums and taking pictures like there’s no tomorrow.

LAPSAP started spinning from 2am onwards and everyone just went insane, literally! It was then that the crowd knew what was to come when LAPSAP set the dancefloor on fire during Merdeka Eve @ CQ. Definitely the perfect opportunity to kick start the festive weekend especially since we missed out on the inaugural “Celebrating the Trendsetters” Party the weekend before.

And it’s just funny how some of us were complaining about fatigue until LAPSAP came on the decks and we were on adrenaline rush the next moment. The girls were hopping from one podium to the other, during which we then realized that an hour and half set for LAPSAP proved to be too short!

We ended up leaving the club at about 4:00am for home and slept minutes just after witnessing sunrise… Or maybe not, but the sky was getting brighter already back then! And futsal next day proved to be quite fruitful as I played an important role in the team for once! Can’t say the same for this week though :(

Ultimate stoner face… FCUK, there goes yet another weekend! Another 19 days till the goatbrother from Malaysia come party with us ala MELBOURNE style!! I also think I need to catch up on my blogging routine although there are just too many work to be dealt with!

That’s all for today…. Merdeka Eve @ CQ next!

Just thought of doing a quick update before I reluctantly crash myself into the pile of workload. A little late but at least better than never, no? Especially when it’s only 17 days till Merdeka Eve and we are all very much hyped up for LAPSAP’s debut gig here in Melbourne. Can’t help but to look back at those pictures taken during the LAPSAP 2nd Private Anniversary Party and OMG WE CAN’T WAIT!

There is no better reason to be celebrating Malaysia’s 52nd Independence Day than partying your night away with fellow Xu and Blink of LAPSAP here in Melbourne! After that one unforgettable night at Palate Palette during LAPSAP’s 2nd Private Anniversary Party, you know you just can’t afford to miss this one!

Making an appearance together with LAPSAP are Kenny Sia and Kim Ong, happening on the 30th August 2009 at CQ Bar, Melbourne. Not sure if the early birds are already on sale but make sure you get them as soon as possible cause it’s gonna be one helluva mental night!
